Welcome comrades of all countries, our negotiators have succeeded in being granted an enclave of land between the Soviet bloc and that of NATO, a small country which is now waiting for you to grow and prosper. Communist dissidents, utopians of all kinds, socialists at heart, this land is yours, Utopiya SSR, if you manage to impose yourself economically on the international scene.

Two large customs posts connect the country to the Soviet bloc, Raventstvo to the southwest and Bratstvo to the northwest, both are modded custom houses (smoother traffic) to illustrate the supposed ties of equality and brotherhood with our brothers on the other side of the border. A less welcoming border on the NATO side, which includes a single small custom house without any railway in the northeast of the country, called Mir, protected by the capitalists by a wall and numerous watch towers. To illustrate this mistrust, this only road to the enemy of socialism is a vanilla custom house, each cargo being carefully inspected, resulting in slow road traffic because of these administrative hassles. These three access points to the outside have electrical connectivity with the electrical network of the entire sub-region.

The country, protected by its high mountains to the north, east and south-west, has a fairly vast river network and its fairly numerous lakes are as many reservoirs to feed it, shimmering at the foot of their mountain ranges or foothills ones, more or less eroded depending on the geology of the region. A wise planner can certainly use these advantages to manage the logistics of his Republic by supplementing his rail network with an efficient river network, and perhaps to connect several river basins by canals. The chains of hills or the mountainous foothills try to respect the river network, which is itself connected to the lakes of the country

The consequence of this network of lakes, smaller or big rivers is that the country is rich in fertile valleys and vast plains which can be used to develop the urban and industrial network of the country, even if these plains and valleys, contrary to their appearance, can still have their undulations to take into account in your future earthworks. The coal deposits are very rich in this country, particularly in the south west, near Raventstvo, also the deposits in the north, which are not very extensive, and those more generous in the hills of the south east, are interesting but far from any profitable operation due to the remoteness of the border crossings.

You will have rich but size-limited deposits of iron ore in the foothills of the western and eastern mountains, however they are far enough away from your coal ore deposits to require you to work out adequate logistics to produce your own precious steel to fuel your expansion. Our planners have nevertheless ruled that with a wise distribution of these iron ore resources you must be able to supply your steel production, including on an international scale.

The most abundant resource in the country is oil, you can become a major player in the petrochemical sector. But this is not without constraints, a single deposit, certainly very extensive, is located in the south of the country, in the delta of a large river as well as off it (requiring in that case moded offshore oil platforms). It is a region of swamps and small islands that will be a technical challenge for your planners. A challenge that is all the more important as the profitability of this oil field can only be expressed with the construction of a port area on the south coast, probably around the large bay at the mouth of the large river in the southwestern quarter of the country, access to the road borders being very far away.

You have rich but size-limited uranium resources in the northeast of the country, close to the NATO border, their exploitation will be a logistical challenge, the foothills that shelter them are difficult to access, in a region of flood-prone rivers , far from everything except this one road to the capitalist world. Not taking into account the construction of river logistics, a large river crossing two mountain ranges and connecting our country with the NATO...

You will finally have fairly rich but somewhat limited bauxite deposits in the center north of the country, too far from the custom house of Bratstvo to make it a start of economic development but rich enough to make you in the future an actor who counts in the aluminum production...

Given the new game mechanics looking at export and import prices the economic potential of the country is finally dependent on its access to the sea, with a beautiful maritime coast in the northwest, poor in natural resources but which can therefore be transformed into a tourist resource, and an extended maritime coast in the southwest, connected to a vast coastal plain, which can become a logistics maritime hub of primary importance, able to import or export both to COMECON or NATO. However, you will have to choose between a maritime expansion benefiting from road proximity to Bratstvo in the northwest, in a region devoid of natural resources, or in the southeast near the rich oil fields of the flood-prone delta but very far from the road logistic border of Ravenstvo... Choices, always choices...
