Yamato Jidai - Sengoku Japan Expansion

Description
Origin of the Mod:

-I've played tons of games, a lot of those with Daimyos and i've felt it both way too easy to unite Japan and underwhelming compared to many other nations, both in flavor and in provinces, as the region is quite underdeveloped compared to its real life counter part during the Sengoku Jidai. I've started making the mod for myself with the help of some friends, who suggested me to publish the mod once the job was done, so here we are!

Content:

-The mod contains over 40 new provinces in the region of Japan, reworks many of the existing provinces, adds a whole new region to the game and 2 new trade nodes, along with many trade centers. The provinces are based on the ancient provinces of Japan, along with the old Yezo Island province subdivision, and come along with more than 20 new and hidden nations. The diplomacy at game start is based on the very same Paradox approach towards the Oda and Shiba clan. Every nation already hidden in the game, such as Asakura and Akamatsu have been added to the game (even though their actual existence at game starting date is not exactly historical for what concerns a few of them) and every country with their base Daimyo idea has been completely reworked and now owns an original idea set on its own! Everything about national ideas, trade goods, rulers etc. is an interpretation of the many peculiarities of the Daimyos, both coming from their clan history, their home provinces' characteristics and what they accomplished and focused on after the game starting date, and what you see in the map at game start is supposed to be historically accurate and goes deep into Japan History. The mission tree has been slightly reworked, some events have been added and there's even a formable nation after claiming the Mandate of Heavens from Ming China. The mod also contains whole new monuments which have been selected for their relevance and notoriety. As of patch 1.2.1, the mod now also has new extra formable nations within Japan, and lots of extra events and disasters, including the outbreak of the Onin War.

Utility Info:

-The mod has been made and tested without any other mods, so as far as i know, all that concerns compatibility is related to mods overriding the same files; to know more, check the mod files once downloaded. Furthermore, the mode has been released and created using english localization files, and so crash or bugs for non-english game version users may occurr. The mod has been made on the base of a full DLC equipped game, and it has not been tested otherwise. The game is not compatible with a time start other than the standard 11/11/1444, as it was designed to start from there, user discretion advised.

!!! IMPORTANT !!!

-The mod has been developed by me and me only, and as such may contain some bugs even though i've been troubleshooting quite deeply. This mod is not really supposed to be balanced: although EU IV players can achieve anyhting they want with any underpowered nation, there are some new Daimyos in game which may possess extremely strong national ideas, with a special spot for the mod's final boss having a very powerful set of ideas. All this is becasue the mod was supposed to be for personal use, and this is the very first mod i've created, but since i've decided to upload Yamato Jidai, i'll listen to feedbacks and ideas concerning existing and newly added nations, and about everything in the mod in general: this can basically be an open source mod. Thanks for reading, thanks for playing the mod and have fun! Tenka Fubu!

! ! ! W A R N I N G ! ! !
As soon as Domination came out, i've done everything i could to make the mod work with new mission trees and with new game mechanics. Everything has been updated but this time i had to check up if new localisations and, in general, every other file didn't conflict with new stuff or if files i modified had now been updated with new content, so i tried my best but could not find time to troubleshoot the mod for 1.35 long enough. Everything around Japan appears to be working properly. But i'm asking your support to report every bug or unexpected thing that may come up during the gameplay, thanks in advance!

@TomiV You can always just pull provinces out of the history folder. Back everything up first. I do that to mix otherwise incompatible mods together.

That's too sad, this mod has great potential. I did a run back in April when I first subscribed and I was disappointed when I saw how ruined the Mission tree is :/ I checked inside de mod files and saw many different things like "modifier" replaced by "flag" for many of the missions.

I don't think that it's the only thing that changed but I hope you'll find a way and the time to work on it to make the mission tree playable again, I like this mod ;)

Thank you ;)

To Turtwig107: no idea, probably has to do with the culture file and the fact it has become outdated; since im a bit busy with uni (ngl i am receiving the intrigue and learning bonuses from siena university) i think i'll update the mod once eu4 stops receiving patches, given the soon tu be eu5 release. Along with that, i will maybe expand the missions.

To Trapezoid: nop that is original mission file, i dont think i changed it, probably was modified by paradox themselves recently cause it came into conflict with the new mission trees.

To Alexander: i think that has something to do with some adjustement after japan got expanded by paradox, which makes the paths of the mission trees a bit tricky when it comes to dealing with the mod content; same as other fixes, it will follow the release of eu5, which will serve as a platform to launch the mod there as well if possible.

2 questions: only I have some missing gov. reforms? Like I don't have 2, 7, 9, 10, 11 Tier.

Will it be possible, like the Shogun, to prevent wars between daimyos? (For a long game as Shogun with all daimyo)

I was poking around the mod files of the mission tree to try and make my own lil combination mods, patches keep wrecking my lil versions, I'm curious, is there any reason like most of the mission group names have 'japanse' in them instead of 'japanese'? DOM_japanse_missions_1 instead of DOM_japanese_missions_1 etc etc. Just wondering.

Fucking love the mod, one weird interaction though, if this mod is on for some reason the Griko mission of the Byzantine empire doesn't spawn Grikos, super weird, ultra niche, no idea why

Why does "restore the taira clan" basically do nothing? I kind of expected them to get a different mission tree or whatever, but for all the land you have to take just to make it, you just become a different daimyo without any differences besides like ideas
