"This is a test run of my simulated cockpit made from cardboard on a budget mainly used to play Elite Dangerous during the summer of 2022. This is work in progress so make sure to read about the details at https://beko.famkos.net/b/oinv

It may look just the same like from the last demo but under the hood it got completely rewired. The CY-822A USB joystick controller and the Raspberry Pi 3 are replaced by 1 Arduino Mega, that is now also driving the blinken lights. The Primary Buffer Panel now offers a total of 48 buttons, 1 hat and 4 additional axis. The flags for the blinken lights are sent to the Mega as well. There is now also a proper external power supply to drive all the LED without smoking the Arduino.

I also got a more recent GPU (but there is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of stuff running in the background I didn't bother to close for the test run). Oh and sorry for the occasional audio crackling - that was my fault for not checking the recording settings properly.

In use:

* A Linux PC
* A DIY Joystick https://beko.famkos.net/b/oinv
* A X52 Pro HOTAS
* 1 Camera + Recording Software
* An AMD RX6700XT
* …and a lot of plumbing with NodeRED :D

So you _still_ think you can't space pew pew on Linux PC? Think again. I do it all the time: https://beko.famkos.net/2021/10/16/space-pew-pew-on-linux-pc/
