Description
Medium stock (KSP 1.12.5) SSTO with Moho Excursion Module payload.
Skyfly X has enough delta-v (in expendable mode) to transport MoEM from Kerbin surface to Moho orbit and back.
MoEM VII features full suite of scientific experiments and ISRU for extended stay at Moho.
Improved landing legs, more solar panels and Remote Guidance Unit compared to number VI.

Features:
SSTO Skyfly X - 159 ton Single-Stage-to-Orbit cargo drone with 13+ tons of payload capacity to Moho and back
MoEM VII Moho Excursion Module - 13.4 ton Moho lander with room for 1 Kerbal

Delta-V:
SSTO - first stage can take you into low equatorial Kerbin orbit with about 75 m/s left;
upper stages provide 5298 m/s (TWR 0.23 to 0.34 around Kerbin) to get to Moho and 3677 m/s (TWR 0.32) to get back
MoEM VII - 2545 m/s at TWR 1.64 (fully tanked) on Moho surface

Flight Plan (Kerbin - Moho - Kerbin):

- This is a "SSTO" that takes of horizontally from SPH, but then starts shedding parts once in orbit to extend its range
- Take off at end of airstrip at ~120 m/s, pitch up to ~5° angle of attack
- Push down (gently!) if needed to stay low and flat and keep climb rate at ~ 5 m/s
- When Rapier thrust reaches ~260 kn, stop pushing and let climbing angle naturally increase due to curvature
- [Stage 7] Engage Nerva at 10 km altitude and pitch down to 5°
- Let climbing angle naturally increase again
- Switch Rapier to Closed Cycle [5] at 23 km
- Burn with Rapier at current angle of now about 12° and let increase
- Pitch down to prograde when your projected apoapsis reaches ~ 53 km
- Continue burning with Nerva when Rapiers run out of oxidizer
- Circularize low Kerbin orbit (plan at least 90 secconds for this)
- [Stage 6] Goodbye wings, thanks for giving us a lift to orbit, but you will weight us down on our way to Moho!
- Open payload doors [6], extend solar panels [0]

- Transfer to Moho using Nerva
- Because of the low thrust-to-weight ratio of ~ 0.25, you will need to do multiple burns at Kerbin periapsis
- [Stage 5] + [Stage 4] Jettison liquid fuel tanks when empty
- Capture into Moho orbit
- [Stage 3] Shed 2 Nervas to become lighter; make sure to throttle to zero before you do so
- Circularize orbit of SSTO
- Scan Moho surface; Kerbnet is accessible through the Remote Guidance Unit of MoEM
- Retract solar panels [0] before undocking MoEM; SSTO can serve as relay
- [Stage 2] Enable Terrier of MoEM; toggle with [3]
- Extend landing gear [G], land MoEM on Moho, landing speed below 10 m/s
- Unfold MoEM [9] - ladders, science bay, drills, solar, antenna, thermal control
- Gather science [8] into Remote Guidance Unit
- Start ISRU [7] - harvesting, fuel conversion, fuel cell, radiator panel
- Return to Moho orbit, land at other sites if desired
- Rendezvous and dock MoEM with SSTO
- If docking is not possible for whatever reason, use emergency seat next to docking port of SSTO

- Transfer back to Kerbin using SSTO
- [Stage 1] jettison last liquid fuel tanks of SSTO when empty
- Aerocapture into low Kerbin orbit with SSTO
- Set Kerbin reentry Periapsis ~38 km and do multiple passes to reduce heat load
- Enter atmosphere tail first so your center of mass is before center of lift
- Keep aligned retrograde
- If necessary do a retrograde burn at periapsis to slow you down sufficiently to be captured by Kerbin
- Undock MoEM at ~ 25k altitude and ~ 600 m/s and switch control to it
- [Stage 0] Deploy parachutes and landing gear [G]
- Welcome home!
- Cleanup Nerva crash site
