Description
omega male grindset

FEATURES:
  • E-123 Omega (SPARKs, Head, Torso, Arms)

So, the first thing you might ask is, "where are his legs?"

Well, as you may know, SPARKs don't have your typical humanoid legs; they have straight-up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horse legs, which is one of the big reasons why making cosmetics for them is such a pain in the ass. Good luck fitting basically anything to that specific leg shape.

Since Omega has regular humanoid legs, there's really no good ways of shaping them to fit the SPARK legs, so i've opted to just make his body compatible with the base SPARK legs instead.

To compensate for his lack of legs, you can install my No Tech Gated SPARK Cosmetics mod to give him a better selection of legs to pick from, if you're not running Unrestricted Customization.

He comes with Primary/Secondary color tinting. He comes with a Head and Torso variant with static, un-colorable emissive lights.

One Million SPARK Colours is recommended.

KNOWN ISSUES:
  • His arms like to clip out of his pauldrons. Nothing i can really do about it, though, that's just how Omega's design translates to the SPARK rig.
  • His fingers are kind of jank.

CREDITS:
  • Apoc Hedgie & RandomTBush - Creators of the GMod add-on i've used to extract the assets from and can be found here.

Gamma from Sonic Adventure would also be cool.

Got a better idea to make of Omega's legs on this. You could use the ADVENT MEC legs, colour them black and just have the carves tint-able while replacing the feet with Omega's.

No luck, got a crash during character creation while hovering over the mod's arms. Same error other than the offset being 483980 now, probably not the most useful info.

Hardware should be up to the task -- a RTX 4080, Ryzen 5800 X3D and 32GB RAM. Tons of cooked cosmetics running (including several of your other mods!), but not seeing any issues there other than one of Asthye's Fortnite ports having the black texture.

Fair enough. I'll re-enable the mod and give it a go, will report back if anything happens. (or when I'm far enough into the run to say the issue's gone)

You're so far the only one reporting this issue, if it's really something with the mod. The only thing i can think to do is to push out a fresh build of the mod and hope it works, i don't think it's anything wrong with the mod itself. I make sure i'm pushing out a clean build before i publish anything anyway, so it likely won't matter.

It does seems like after cooking my mod library i've seen a small uptick of reports about issues like this, with seemingly innocuous cosmetics causing crashes and even the old vanta-black model bug. It makes me think either:

A): There's a specific, niche problem hidden inside of my mods i'm unaware of,
B): Something's going wrong with the cooking process even if it successfully builds,
C): It only happens under specific circumstances, i.e. having a lot of (cooked) cosmetics, playing with weak hardware, an OS-level problem, etc.

So unless putting out a fresh build actually works, you might be S.O.L. i'm afraid.

Ran across a potential issue with the mod:

"[0489.87] Warning: Warning, Detected data corruption [header] trying to read 1048576 bytes at offset 2454292 from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2925151681\CookedPCConsole\CharTextures-a_SonicOmegaSpark_DLCTFC_XPACK_.tfc'. Please delete file and recook.

Just got a crash with those messages while loading into Gatecrasher. Previous attempt was fine (so not sure if this actually caused the crash), but Discord suggested reporting this anyways.

I think the animations of a SPARK make it hard to alter legs that aren't multi joint. It probably could be done, it would look weird but it probably could be done, but I think that's the thing with SPARKs, their animations make it hard to fit anything on there that isn't built around it.

Could always alter with Omega's legs to the exact length(?)

Count how many sand is here Omega, that's your first mission.
Jokerke Jan 29, 2023 @ 2:53am
But would Gamma be possible with those legs?
