201st Squadron - P47 Thunderbolt (By Blood Alone)

By Blood Alone added some models, one of them is the P47 Thunderbolt.
So I've decided to remake one of my old mods.

This mod adds the P47 Thunderbolt to Mexico's plane designer with a personalized
201st Squadron skin. I also added other models with skins, in case anyone wants to use them.

I added all the models for every plane frame, so you have the freedom to
use any plane model you want.

The mod should be Ironman compatible and save game compatible

You need By Blood Alone

You can use this mod however you want, for your own projects or as a reference
just give me the credit for my work

@FoxDie24 how do you import another model from another mod and place it in another mod? Or better yet, make a model generic so you can use it no matter the plane frame?

@Sunil Yat Sen, Kuomingang Thanks for telling me this. There's no model for the Vampire in the game I'm afraid, the model the UK uses is the Meteor. The USA uses the Lockheed and the Mexican Air Force eventually used a version of the Lockheed. I'll probably add a skin of both of them in the near future.

i checked wikipedia for ''the mexican air force'' and it said their first jet fighter was the british vampire. i don't think that model is in game but there is the british meteor which i think would work. itd be so awesome to have a jet model

@Alkotol Once the model is in the game ready for use, you'll need to add it to the designer of the country of your choosing. You can do this by making a .txt file in the folder gfx/interface/equipmentdesigner/graphic_db

I can't teach you all of this stuff i'm afraid. If you want to add a model to the game, your best option is to look at the base game files and use them as reference. You can use this mod as a reference too.

@Alkotol Photoshop is the tool I use for painting the textures. Is the easiest to work on and all you need is the Nvidia DDS plugin to open the models dds files.
I use Blender with this add-on: https://github.com/ross-g/io_pdx_mesh to edit the models textures and some other stuff if I need to. You can change all things model-related in Blender with this add-on.

Adding your own models to the game requires two things:
1)You need to define a name for the model and a path for that model file. This is done by making a .gfx text file in the gfx/entities folder.
Models are stored in the gfx/models/units folder.
2)Once you've done step 1, you need to add animations to the model and give it a label that the game will use as a reference. This is done by making a .asset text file in the gfx/entites folder
