When building conveyors, the connection point attaches at the bottom of the conveyor frame - the belt itself is about 1.5 meters above the connection point, so it looks like the belt is running into the wall above the conveyor port on the buildings.
If you placed the connection point 1.5 meters below the middle of the conveyor port (or at the bottom most edge of port framing, usually for normal sized ports), the belts would look like they are going into the port, rather than above them.
This is true of both aggregate and dry bulk.
