Split Genes

Description
This mod adds a function to Gene Ripper - Splitting Genepack.
Although the mod "Split Genepack" has a similar function, I believe it is too overpowered. Therefore, I have set some limitations for splitting genepack in this mod.
The power consumption for Gene Ripper has been changed to 500W in this mod, and the process of splitting genepack cannot be stopped. Additionally, it will consume the genepack, and only one gene will be extracted. Pawns are required, and the pawn will die after extracting the gene.

The pawn may not die from extracting the gene (only in the splitting gene function).

Now, you can set 0h for extraction time
(The author of Gene Ripper believes that balance is important, so they do not plan to add options that would make the mod imbalanced.)
(However, in my opinion, the options should belong to the player. Just as Tynan did not ask us to leave the planet as the end.)
(Of course, I will not add the option for the extraction from children too. Hmmmmm, one of the reasons is ethical, the other is - I don't see the need for it during my gameplay.)

There doesn't seem to be any options to control what gene packs can/can't go into the ripper.

When I click the "Split Genepack" button, it tells me "No genepack inserted" without any option to pick one to insert. The only way I've been able to get something in there is to have a pawn manually pick up a genepack, draft force them in front of the ripper, manually drop the genepack, and then force them to bank it. That will cause them to bank it into the Ripper, though first I need to force eject whatever random genepack someone has shoved in there at some point without me noticing it because there's no control over what NOT to put in it.

Am I being completely oblivious and missing an easier way to use this? I love the concept of this, but the implementation requires lots of micromanagement.

Not work with Alpha genes genepacks, the Gene Ripper not accept their genes

While I appreciate modding in general and understand the original author's decision for his interest in game balance.

I'd like to extend my thanks to you for being very, very, open and giving us this amazing option. It always bugged me that we didn't had a slider for time on that mod not because I want to make it unbalanced, but because when you are playing a colony for 10 years in game and x3 is already broken, the time it takes to rip the genes is an eternity.

Kudos to you and mods like the one that overcharges biosculping, or the one that allows you to edit growth vat speed. Hahahahahah

I love the concept behind this, but is there a way to make it so that the pawns don't die? I stuck someone in it that had the deathless gene, and it still killed them, prevented their Resurrection, and I would have to cheat to bring them back to life.

so with this mod I can extract ONE gene I want from a grouped genes?

like if it comes deathless +3 (deathles, low libido, fertile) I can extract only deathless?
