Description
Forged with the fire of one thousand suns

Overview

I wanted to make this map mainly because I have never made a tropical map before. I hope you like it, I have really grown to love it these past few months. There is a a deep history in this region, as well as glorious weather, which has allowed this area to become a major travel destination.

Map is Vanilla, Theme is highly recommended

There is a 3 minutes video above that will show you a brief snapshot of the map better than I can type it.

Chichen Itza

I have designed the farthest most NW tile in the main 25 to serve as a 'tourist attraction'. If it does not suit your city build, there is no shame in deleting all of it.

El Castillo at Chichen Itza is actually a pyramid, constructed over an older, smaller, pyramid.. constructed over an older, smaller, pyramid

2 million tourists visit annually

Please keep in mind that if something is accidentally deleted, it will not be coming back.

The Region

Optimized for 25 Tile Play
Detailed at the 81 Tile Distance

Train Connections 2/4
Air Connections 3/4
Highway Connections 2/4
Ship Connections 3/4

Trees: I plopped 240,000 You can plop 10,000

Visuals

It would be best if 'Display Road Names' was de-selected from the gameplay options panel

Theme: Laviante 2.0

LUT in screenshots and video is:
Real Neutral - Relight Vibrant

Please, consider using the following mods and settings for visual aids:

Daylight Classic ON

RENDER IT! (Below I will share Render It settings)

Prop Anarchy and Tree Anarchy (If you don't use this, a couple hundred of the trees will not show up)

Hide It! (please hide the shore texture when water ruins the terrain. The game does not do a good job with this and a new level can come out in your map if you paint underneath the water.)

If you have ULOD (Ultimate Level of Detail). I recommend you bump up props and decals. It does not seems to be very taxing on the CPU

Common Ground Mod OR Algernon’s 81 tile (Some Areas I have crafted will not look the same as the way I see them unless the tile is unlocked or you are using the Common Ground Mod)

Things I Want to Tell You

Completely Hand Drawn

Creation Time: May 06, 2022 - Jan 01, 2023

A major THANK YOU to Uncle Ron, Sidai the Slayer, E6GSY, and most importantly Chameleon TBN for being All-Stars in providing much needed feedback and keeping my save file going through Mod Apocalypse

The map is not an exact copy of anywhere in the region

Thank you to all who make this game better than it was yesterday

Thank you for playing on my creations and God bless

Hi. Thanks I try very hard. Steam changed the formatting sometime after this was uploaded. The photo is actually ultra high res. If you load this up on your phone you can see it as it is intended.

This map is amazing! I was wondering if there is a way of seeing the place names around the map, the photo is too low definition and when I click on it, it only opens part of the photo?

Ah of course. Thanks. Many problem may originate when a map is made without mods and then is played with mods. Glad to hear it!

They were the rocks by the ruins with the wide staircase. The issue somehow resolved. Been loving the map!

Rows of small rocks? Where abouts on the map?

@T.J. Detweiler - Sorry man I missed this. Comments like that keep me going. Thanks for being a friend!

Any idea why those rows of small rocks would disappear when you get closer to them with the camera? All other aspects of the map seem to work great.

i searched so long for a perfect map to play with until CS2 comes out cause I have quite high demands on a map (here should be a listing of all my demands but that made the comment much longer than 1000 characters) I've tried to create a map by myself that meets all of these demands, but I don't have the patience or the creativity to do so. So i was looking for a map that fits my high demands for weeks and i think i finally found it. As far as i can see it for now, your map provides all(!) my demands and i cant descripe how hyped i am to play on this map for the weekend. I love how detailed this map is and how much work you put in it. All these details like the pyramids, the amazing bridges and tunnels, the fields, the mountains, lakes, rivers and beaches looking so amazing. Thank your for your amazing work on this map!

i've tested this map with the mods i use (not heavily modded: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2996258812 ) and the connections works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94sqVJW7IPE
