Days Gone - IPCA Tech Locations

A guide on where all eighteen ICPA Tech pieces are hidden to unlock the secret item.

IPCA Tech Collectibles Overview/Requirements

I suggest you do not bother with collecting these until you have completed the game and have obtained the recipe. You cannot craft the item until then. And as there is no way to track which IPCA Tech you've collected from each location as you progress through the story, I recommend that you do all of them in one go.

You will need to play through the story at least once and unlock the secret ending, otherwise you cannot use the secret item.

Mapped Locations & Tips

You can find the tech pieces around or in NERO checkpoints or research sites, the areas where you get the boosters to upgrade Deacon's stats. The pieces only appear on NERO scientists in a white outfit, and they can be obscured and hard to see - look for areas with high decay, foliage, elevated hills or areas, or several corpses in pieces. Not every outpost has a tech piece. To help narrow down your search, the map above should help you avoid NERO outposts that don't have one. (Yes the numbers are corresponding with this guide.)

#1 - Little Bear Lake NERO Checkpoint

This one is hard to miss as it's where you go to obtain bandages for Boozer early in the story. The corpse will reside in the main NERO bunker.

#2 - Old Pioneer Cemetery NERO Checkpoint

The NERO corpse will be inside the tent next to the checkpoint building.

#3 - Iron Butte Pass NERO Checkpoint

The corpse will be inside the white trailer next to the Ripper gate.

# 4 - Horse Lake NERO Checkpoint

Look for a sandbagged ledge and the corpse will be right behind it

#5 - Marion Forks Tunnel NERO Checkpoint

Right next to two portable outhouses, in front of the tunnel.

#6 - Crashed NERO Chopper/Research Station.

You will need to jump a gap in the road on your bike to reach this area. The corpse will be next to the crashed helicopter.

#7 - Crater Lake Crash Site

You will need to jump a large gap with your bike and jump to the island. The scientist will be next to the downed helicopter.

#8 - Lost Lake NERO Research Site

Another jump here. Once you reach the research site, the corpse will be residing on a white tarp next to a green tent.

#9 - Abandoned NERO Research Site

Once you complete the jump, the scientist will be inside the tented area carved into the stone.

#10 - Pillette Bridge NERO Checkpoint

There will be a ledge you can climb to the right of the outpost, and the body will be laying on a small bridge.

#11 - Chemult Community College NERO Checkpoint

Hidden away inside one of the white warehouses south of the main checkpoint's buildings.

#12 - Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway NERO Checkpoint

Inside the storm drain, the body will be at the very end of the tunnel.

#13 - Santiam Tunnel Nero Checkpoint

There will be a ledge that you can climb through a hole in a fence, the body will be at the top.

#14 - Old Sawmill Checkpoint

Look for a pond outside the fenced area, and you will find the scientist's body laying inside the water.

#15 - Belknap Research Site

You'll need to look for a path that leads up to this research site. The body will be laying in front of a log shelter.

#16 - Rogue Tunnel NERO Checkpoint

Inside the tent with 'RIP' written on it, the scientist will be inside.

#17 - Spruce Lake NERO Checkpoint

You will find a slope leading up to a hill above the outpost. The scientist's body will be laying in the foliage.

#18 - Highway 97 Research Site

Jump to nearest of the two islands with your bike, and then swim to the second one where the body is located. The body will remain next to a burned area.

I just finished the game and have 17/18. I hate that there is no way to figure out the one you have and you have to visit every location in the game, but such is life.

The stun gun works the same way from that ps1 game syphon filter, i remember using that gun till people start burning lol the good ol times
