Horn Beetles & Mossroaches

Description
A mod containing Kruggsmash's Horn Beetles as seen in Scorchfountain. They are hardy bearded ox-like beetles. They are good for their chitin and labour. The males have large, pronged horns. Horn beetles are grazers and egg layers, which means you need to occasionally pasture them away from their nest box to feed them.

Mossroaches are trouble-making fuzzy beetles with large, fluffy antennae. They come in large packs underground and are great domestic egg-layers.

I made art assets for Horn Beetles and Mossroaches; Horn Beetle RAWs by Squamous/Kruggsmash

If you want to remove one of them you can just remove their respective creature_x.txt from the objects folder and there shouldn't be any problems.

Modded creatures keep turning into forgotten beasts upon game restart. They crash the game if i try to look at their description or unpause the game

They always make a break for the nearest nest box to lay eggs. I like to just zone-out the next box from their pasture. But, even with enough boxes I'll find beetle eggs in my other next bird pasture areas. Once they lay their eggs an animal handler will move them back to their pasture and the mother won't return, but the eggs will still hatch. If the mother runs off chasing some wild animal, she will return to the nest box and continue to starve, so it has to be an animal handler.

Um... How do I USE the Chitin from these beautiful creatures? What can I make and how? I don't see Chitin anywhere in the Stocks Menu nor as a material for making crafts or armor.

I've been wanting to mess around with this mod before even was officially out. I hope that kind of work close to like that guide they showed in that one episode.

The mossroaches are invisible when using ASCII.

The Horn Beetles look great, but those Mossroach sprites could use work. They're kinda just a messy blob right now.
