The Rainbow Factory

Description
NOTE: All reactions are added to the glass and tanner's workshops in lieu of a new workshop for the time being.

This mod creates the Rainbow Factory, a system of coloring many base materials almost any color. This is making use of spectra, a material produced from corpses and body parts including cartilage and nervous tissue. It can also make use of vermin remains. No waste anymore!

Spectra was once discovered growing naturally in a biome, but it turns out all living things are made up of color, and that color has the potential be gruesomely extracted.

Not only can this be used to dye clothing (as spectra dye) but also to colorize...
- Leather (Of vanilla common domestic animals)
- Wood (Tower caps, black caps, and feather wood logs)
- Metal (Silver, steel, platinum, and aluminum in bar form)
- Glass (Stained glass, a new standalone black glass in bar form)
- Stone (Obsidian or quartzite in block form, see my Alchemy mod for getting it back into a boulder to make furniture...)

In times of hardship or !!FUN!!, spectra can also used to make delicious Rainbow cupcakes...

Please let me know of any issues you run into in the comments with your version of the game, your version of the mod, and any other helpful information. I hope you enjoy this release!

Ah. After looking at the mod files, I think I know what my problem is. I'm using a race other than dwarves and didn't realize I needed to edit the entity file - which means, no Rainbow Factory workshop. So, mod conflict.

Also missing a bracket in the building file, but I don't think that would cause an issue? (Mentioning it just in case.)

Ok, so I see where to make the colored objects, but I don't know where/how to make the colored materials. And my noble is demanding a colored object, of course. XD

@Lizy_Sticks This will in a future update have it's own workshop! The original Rainbow Factory was constructed from one building material, an empty bucket, and a large serrated disc. Once I get the graphics right, this will be where all the reactions happen, rather than the tanner. My 2nd and third choice after this was the dyer's shop and the butcher. However, as of 50.05 neither of these can be assigned custom reactions.

I'm also open to adding more types of wood and stone. I'll work this in for the next version of The Rainbow Factory as well; thanks for the suggestion :)

@ДехтоДеякий❄

I was wrong in my original comment, and have removed it to not cause confusion. The colored bars are as you describe, not picked up by the vanilla Metalsmith's Forge tasks. I'm looking into why this may be. I did verify that with Alchemy Part 1, the dyed bars can be turned into blocks, and those blocks CAN be made into a black steel mail shirt. Depending on if this is something that can be fixed within the mod, I'll either correct it here or add all of the armor types to Alchemy Part 1. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

@WendyKitten Hello again with the update on my tries. It is impossible for me to manage the craft of dyed items, because they are not counted as items. I try to make a black steel armor. I dye steel in black and have "black steel bars" hanging in my Tanner's Shop. I don't have any undyed steel, so only the painted has to be used. Unfortunately, even after putting it as a specific crafting material for armor, it abandons the task saying "No steel bars for the completion". I don't know if this is a bug, unworking feature or am I doing something wrong?
