Introduction
The mighty general Gaius Julius Caesar has came back triumphantly from Gaul and has declared ten days of games as celebration of his great victory! He has called upon you, the Lanista to find gladiators to fight for the entertainment of all of Rome. You must put together the best trained fighters and put on the best show for our conquering hero. Succeed and you will be handsomely rewarded for making these games exciting, fail and put on a bad show, and you will be poor in the gutter where you belong.


Game Overview
Lanista is a gladiator drafting card game for 2, 4 or 6 players. Each player takes on the role of a Lanista, a gladiator owner and trainer. You are tasked with fulfilling requests from Julius Caesar for gladiator fights. Each round players draw and buy new gladiators to put in their hands, and send them to the arena. The players try and match the correct type of gladiator card on the request card and then the gladiators battle. The players then receive money from each fight, with larger payout if you are able to match the gladiator or win the match. The player or team with the most amount of money and gladiators at the end of ten rounds win!
