Left 4 Dead 2 Common Infected Sounds

Description
Replaces the vanilla moans and groans from the zombies with the snarls and growls of the infected from Left 4 Dead 2.

This is my first mod on the workshop so please let me know if anything is broken or not working.

Due to how sound replacement mods are currently handled in PZ subscribing itself will do nothing, what you need to do is subscribe, then go to Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/108600 and look for file 2898802829, go into the mods/Common Infected sounds/media/sound/banks/Desktop inside Desktop will be a file called ZomboidSound.bank

Copy or extract that file then go into Project Zomboid's local files by right clicking the game in your library.
go to media/sound/banks/Desktop and replace the existing ZomboidSound.bank file with the new one from the mod.

After that everything should be good to go.

Intended to be used with sprinters.

Adds a configurable horde night event. included in this mod's sound folder is new sound effects to replace the weird groan sound effect when the events begin with the incoming megamob sound effect from Left 4 Dead 2!

Adds two new special infected variants, the Nemesis is currently a bit broken but can easily be fixed if you go into the mods file and open the file "SFTurnLoadZombies" and go to the SFTurn.UpdateZombie function and replace "zombie:DoZombieStats()" to "--zombie:DoZombieStats()" This should fix the problem.
Also included in this mod's sound folder is a new replacement for the Banshee scream, taken from Left 4 Dead 2.

i enabled the mod but its still the vanilla zomboid noises

i dont really bother with sound stuff since it's just a mental headache for me, like you said, wish it was so much more simple.
Hope they rectify this with B42.

agreed.. wish it worked the way it does for Half-Life 1 and 2, in those games all textures.. models sounds etc are just in a file you can easily access
If it were easier id make plenty of mods for it.

Source had the right idea
I make Textures for Zomboid and have to go though .Pack files .Pack, .Bank, and many more i'm sure
are some of the most confusing methods for storing files

as far as I know they don't even offer much benefit
it just makes things harder

they really are, i wish more games used the Valve Half-Life 2/Source approach where all the files are just, easily found and edited

.bank files are incredibly confusing

a lot more sounds that make stuff like this a lot more tedious, but a decent chunk of sprinter specific sounds to make infected style sounds easier.

We'll have to see how it works, i dont know if the 42 sprinter sounds will replace stuff like pain, being shoved etc, might end up having to replace a lot of standard zombie sounds anyway
