Description


A complete rework of how malnutrition affects pawns.
No more fast, boring deaths. Instead, starvation becomes a slow, terrifying descent into weakness, helplessness, and eventual collapse.

This mod is perfect for storytellers, prison camps, or anyone wanting more realism and intensity around starvation mechanics.

💀 What This Mod Does:

🔧 Malnutrition now takes 3× longer to reach maximum severity

Pawns don't just drop dead — they deteriorate, painfully and gradually.

📉 Stronger and progressive debuffs at each stage

The more malnourished they get, the more they suffer — physically and mentally.

🛏️ Changes how unconsciousness works

Pawns won't just collapse at Extreme Malnutrition. Instead, they slowly require more and more rest to stay on their feet.

🧠 Malnutrition Stages & Effects

⚪ Trivial --> +50% Rest need • Trouble with Research & Mining • Slower Immunity gain
🟡 Minor --> Harder task performance • Begins to weaken in combat
🟠 Moderate --> Suffers dizziness • Slowed even during light labor
🔴 Severe --> Falls unconscious from exhaustion more often
⚫ Extreme --> Very slow • Constantly collapsing • Can randomly die at any time (survival up to 3 days possible)

✔️ Works with RimWorld 1.4 - 1.5 and 1.6 as well.

🧍‍♂️ Starving pawns won’t just instantly die — they become useless, vulnerable, and unstable

🔒 Great for prison colonies where you want to break pawns without killing them

🧬 Creates tense survival stories where every hour counts

🧠 Encourages better food logistics, emergency planning, and medical backup

Yes! Of course it does. I didn't change anything to make it not work for 1.5

You can thank or award the original creator, I haven't done anything special to the mod other than add a few words to a file to make it error free or to show as incompatible.
My only job is to test the mods, either in dev mode or in my own world with the risks of some random error popping at some point.
As for the pawn, a minute of silence to show some respect.

Let's see how many mousekin miscarry because of food poisoning and malnitrition now... I swear, there was food. they are just to slow to reach it.

A pawn had to suffer for this but the mod is now fully tested and updated for 1.6

Right now I'm updating one of my own mods, after that I will check this one out and if everything works fine I will just slap the 1.6 on it and update it.
