This is an alpha version of a mod designed to provide a working Arabic translation.


Notice that subscribing to the workshop mod has an issue with the subtitles size at higher resolutions. See below about fixing it or use downloadable version from the guide. The guide also has instructions on installing a right-aligned version, credits, and more details.

The workshop version is meant to be used with the latest patch (12.5.2025), please update your game before subscribing. The downloadable versions also have pre-patch releases, though I won't be able to help with those in any way.

If you can't see correct subtitles, Make sure to choose the Unofficial Arabic as the captioning language in the options menu under audio. It might appear as an "empty" language (right after Arabic).

If the subtitles are too small and you don't want to use the downloadable versions,
Find a file named "gameinfo.txt" in ...\Black Mesa\bms, and add the line

game+mod ../../workshop/content/362890/2893890254/portl.vpk

within the parentheses for "SearchPaths", like this:

SearchPaths
{
...
game+mod ../../workshop/content/362890/2893890254/portl.vpk

// Black Mesa VPK files.
...

Note : You might need to edit gameinfo.txt again following game updates.
