Imho RE2 Remake is a best one to start off with . It is both modernized enough for current times while also maintaining the core of the genre and the original . Being both quite spooky , tense and interesting to play though multiply times.

Yeah, I thought this seemed too much arcade for my preference as well. Glad to know some of the other RE may be better, thanks.

I also just recently introduced myself to RE with RE 2 Remake . Excellent game. My second one was this one . Not so great ,lol. It is very arcady compared to what classic survival horror formula is.
