I have university degrees in Mathematics and Computer Programming, with minors in Physics, Astronomy, and Chemistry.

I tend to view people, the world, and the Universe in a Spiritual perspective.

I love to tell (and often invent) puns (the "dad joke" kind, often called "groaners"), and especially love to make kids laugh.

I love reading epic Fantasy novels or series, as well as Sci-Fi and other types of good fiction. Here are some examples:
* Stephen R. Donaldson - The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant
* Ursula Le Guin - The Earthsea Trilogy
* Anne McCaffrey - Dragonriders of Pern Series, especially The White Dragon
* Frank Herbert - Dune
* J.R.R. Tolkien - The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
* Diana Gabaldon - Outlander Series
* J.K. Rowling - The Harry Potter Series
* Brandon Sanderson - The Mistborn Series
* Edgar Rice Burroughs - Tarzan Series
* Robert A. Heinlein - Stranger in a Strange Land

After my music career, I was a computer database programmer for 26 years.

A friend asked me to post more details on my music career ...

Along the way I've rubbed elbows with Dave Brubeck, Lou Rawls, Dwight Yoakam, Edwin Starr.

I earned a living as a musician from the age of 15 through 30. The band I was in during the first 5 years was The Soul System, covering artists like James Brown and The Temptations. Our singer was Freddie Cunningham whose current blues band is Root Doctor

* Hammond B-3 Organ connected to a Leslie rotating speaker cabinet
* Wurlitzer Electric Piano
* Moog Synthesizer
* Hohner International String Vox
* Electrovox Synthesizer

Here are some music genres I've played:

Big Band (MSU Dance Band)
