Hi!
It is nice to see You again! This time, I'd like to present you with, my new diesel passenger locomotive SP45 series.
This is another big and very important part of my "mega project". The "Fiat" as we called it in Poland, was quite challenging due to it's size. Well obviously not because it is somehow big, but due to the fact that I was limited because of the massive engine, taking most of the usable space. I must admit that fitting microcontrollers in, wasn't any much easier. But we finally have it yay! I personally think that this upload is a bit more important from the others, because it sets something kind of a "standard", maybe a bit more of a "benchmark", for how much time and work I should shove into building my things to keep them at good level of quality. It also introduces a bit of history. From now on, every locomotive will be given a side number of an authentic locomotive that was involved in some serious accident in Poland. It is my way, to show regard and remembrance about those killed and wounded on polish tracks.
A'ight, enough talk, Enjoy!

SP45-160, destroyed in disaster under Otłoczyn on 19th august 1980. While leading passenger train 5130, it collided head on with a freight train 11599, led by ST44-607, that just a few minutes earlier wrongfully passed under semaphore displaying "S1" STOP signal. This disaster is considered to be the most deadliest train collison in Poland, after II World War.
In memory of those who were killed and wounded.

Manual:

Step 1. Before start
- Go to Cabin B (back of locomotive), open Low Voltage Cabinet and switch on "Main Battery" and "Traction Motors Powerage". You should hear alarm go off, simply delete with "CA/SHP" button.
- Go to engine room space, (between Cabin A and B) into corridors crossing, and head for the right dead end, switch "Water Pre-Heater" On.

Step 2. Start
(In order to change from which end you control (Default Cabin A), press control button in any cabin)
- Pulse Oil Pump flipswitch.
- Wait Few Seconds and pulse Fuel Pump flipswitch.
- In the right secondary corridor with "Water Pre-Heater", check if temperature is above 50 degrees. If yes, proceed.
- Press "START" button untill you hear the engine slowly kicking into life. Pressing "START" starts the engine cranking and closes the circuit acting like it's counterpart "Fast Cut Off" on electric locomotives.
- Generator should kick in a few seconds right after the engine status changes to "Engine On".
- Pulse "Traction Motors Ventilator Groups 1-3" and "Traction Motors Ventilator Groups 4-6", ventilation shutters indicator should glow blue.

Step 3. After start – prepare for route
- In order to gain "drive" ability, "Set Braking Force" should be at "-1" or "0". Main Conduit should fill automatically.
- Perform brake check procedure. Set braking force at values from "1" to "5", wait untill pressure in conduit drops and in cyllinder rises, then set braking force to "0", conduit should start filling in. You can speed up the process by pressing "Cylinger Pressure Release" button. Braking position "6" triggers emergency brake. To release pressure after emergency braking, set braking force at "-1" to perform impact filling of the conduit.
- (Optional) Choose D or R for forward drive or reverse drive (default D)
- (Optional) Turn on lights
- (Optional) Turn on radiotelephone and set channel, be sure to check radiotelephone 1-0-1!

Step 4. Driving.
- In order to drive, if on position 0 press "Position Up" once to go to position 1, or if on positions from 2 to 15, also move Drive adjuster wheel to position 1. Wait around 1-2 seconds until main circuit is closed. It is indicated by rise of amperage on "Traction Motors Amperage" gauges, and of course you'll notice because you'll start moving. Then player can add positions normally.
- Because of introduction of "Pressure Cut Off System" valve, and the "Linear Contactors Cut Out" everytime locomotive brakes are activated, by player or CA/SHP/Radiostop, or the Drive Adjuster Wheel is set back to 0, "drive" is gone, untill the Drive Adjuster Wheel is turned to position 1 for around 1-2 seconds, so the circuit can close.

Step 5. Multiple Unit Control System.
- Locomotive is featured with MU Control System (WORKS ONLY WITH UNITS OF SAME SERIES eg. SP45+SP45). In order to drive in this configuration, turn on main battery and traction motors powerage in both units, use cables (hidden right above couplers) at touching ends of locomotives, and connect winch with winch and anchor with anchor.
- Only startup of one locomotive is required, as the pulled unit will follow orders from the master locomotive.
- 'Master' status is not permanent. After turning off main unit it is possible to drive with the second locomotive as the leading unit, simply turn it on per standard procedure.
- REMEMBER TO DISABLE CA/SHP IN SECONDARY LOCOMOTIVE (with "Dead-Man Switch Disable" located in LV Cabinet)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features:
- Polish Safety System CA/SHP (a.k.a. Dead-Man Switch)
- Polish Radiotelephone Safety and Communication Device
- Realistic drive and control system
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Radiotelephone "1-0-1"
- Turn On with flipswitch
- Select Channel using arrow buttons
- If there is emergency press "!RADIOSTOP!", stops your train and others
within proximity of 1000m on the same chanel
- To regain control and reset the alarm push "Reset" until alarm stops (about 10s)

WARNING! Resetting radiostop is individual for each unit with it equipped. Works only with units equipped with Radiotelephone.

Thank you, I'll consider that :). But being fair and square I don't think I will change it anytime soon, because I'm planning my own series of carts etc.

Please use better couplers. they arent compatible with most other wagons on the workshop. Use horizontal ones. PLEASE.
