Description
The exit out of Paddington to Old Oak is a bit special. Side by side Castle parallel running - both swapping tracks!

Today you are in charge of a 4-6-0 Castle on a direct non-stop run from Paddington to Reading. All signals are green, so you should manage 90mph between Twyford and Reading,

Remember when flat out: 84% Regulator, 24% Reverser and MORE IMPORTANTLY Brake to 31% Running to keep the PSI up. You will need to drop Reverser to 15/18% also occasionally.

Do NOT need the Metropolitan Line!

Best if played from under the 'Standard' scenario Tab not Workshop.

Route: Paddington to Oxford – BR(W) V2. This is a Workshop route by heardturkey.

Hi rdp42,
Well Roger I am very pleased you are able to enjoy this route so much.
I went through Southall a lot, but later on. Mostly I ventured from Bristol to Swindon or Didcot in the 60s. That signal must have an issue on the route.

My first drive over this superb route. One that I am very familiar with, having been a Southall Footbridge spotter in the fifties! Great ai. I am not sure but just before Maidenhead, I spotted a bracketed signal with the main line home off and the distant below on. I therefore braked hard but the next signals were both off. Perhaps I imagined it. Anyway, a joy to experience. Cheers, Roger

Yes it does - but now I am really experienced, not as long as you'd think. Cheers heardturkey.

I had to put in a Black five somewhere for you chris. Two more to go in this collection. The next one is a bit different starting out of the shed yard at Southall, then into Paddington.

Another enjoyable run down the Great Western mainline out of Paddington. Again excellent AI particularly at the beginning. On this and the previous run out of Paddington did I spot a Black Five running up one of the sidings? Good series thank you Not.Silent. Regards. Chris
