Note that this walkthrough was completed on ''Hard Mode'' and some puzzles are different for each new game:

• Part 1: The words used on the forgiveness frog and the mop tree map.
  
• Part 3: LeChuck's catch phrase for the spell.
  
• Part 4: Elaine's location on Scurvy Island, the logos in the cave on Terror Island, the type of fish used for the heartiness contest.
  
• Part 5: The final puzzle in the Monkey Island cave (the big wheel).

Pegleg
Fulfilled Your Restroom Obligations
Can only be done in the Prelude, right at the beginning. After unlocking the outhouse door with the key, return the pegleg to the Scurvydog Shack, it's as simple as that.

Lucky Duck
Shared Your Luck
Can only be done in the Prelude, in the park after you obtained the scurvy dogs. To unlock the achievement, you need to pick up the four-leaf clover from the field and give it to the duck in the pond.

Fan Service
Convinced Cobb To Tell You About LOOM
Can only be done in Part 1 of the game. Once you have spoken to the Voodoo Lady, Cobb appears in the Scumm bar. Talk to him, goading him to tell you about Loom. Eventually, he will give you the spiel, and you'll get this achievement.

Mop Heist
Attempted To Steal The Cook’s Mop
Can only be done in Part 1 of the game and the fancy customer must be in the SCUMM Bar. Once you have distracted the cook in the SCUMM Bar by giving him the recipe book from the governor's mansion, pick up his mop and try to leave with it.

Hey Wait!
Freed Otis
Can only be done in Part 1 of the game. You need to use Wally's monocle on Otis' jail cell door, give the serial number you acquire to Locke Smith to get a key, and then use it to unlock the cell door to free Otis (and unlock the achievement).

Bragging
Told Everyone On Mêlée Island That You Are Looking For The Secret
Can be completed in Part 1 (with the Writer's Cut activated, you can meet the old pirate leaders on the street) or in Part 4. You must tell 15 people that you are searching for the Secret of Monkey Island:

- The lookout (can't be missed)
- The new pirate leaders
- Pirate 1 in the Scumm Bar

Listed Every Mess On The First Swab’s Report
Can only be done in Part 2. When tasked with reporting messes on the ship, you need to find all 8 possible messes. To do this, save your game before finding any, find five of them, and then reload the game to find the other three. Here is the list of the possible messes:

- Gullet stuck down the back of the ship underwater
- The spilled potion on the deck
- The entire galley (go in kitchen and select the ingredients)
- Any grease spots in the hold (you need to create at least one with the mop and the grease at the beginning of Part 2)
- The greasy porthole in the hold
- The rat outside LeChuck's cabin
- The empty crates on the deck
- The chicken splat in the hold (you need to feed the chicken on the top right of hold with some chicken feed, leave the hold and come back. The splat will be underneath the chicken)

Hot Headed
Braved The Scorched Alaska
Can only be done in the Part 2. Once you've successfully had Putra make the Scorched Alaska (and made it extremely hot on Hard Mode) try to get Guybrush to eat it multiple times. On the 4th attempt, he'll take a bite and you'll get the achievement.

Not Bitter
Got To The Heart Of The Problem
Can only be done in the Part 3. When you arrive on Monkey Island, examine the tree on the beach with "L + E" scratched into it and kick it 5 times to unlock the achievement.

Dead Dead Dead
Died For Real
Can be done in Part 2 (under LeChuck's ship), in Part 3 (At the beginning and under LeChuck's ship) or in Part 4 (under LeChuck's ship & Terror Island cave). To unlock this, Guybrush has to die for real, you need to let the timer run out when you are underwater.

Tight Ship
Decked Out The Sea Monkey II With Spooky Skulls
Can only be done in the Part 3. After being tasked with repairing the Sea Monkey, head back to the Giant Monkey Head and pick up all the skulls. Then, repair the ship and the achievement will be yours (when you arrive at Mêlée Island).

Patient Citizen
Waited Patiently To See Carla
Can only be done in Part 4. All you have to do is to wait in line for the governor's mansion and don't move. It'll take around 3 minutes before you get the achievement.

Relief Pitcher
Offered To Donate To The Earthquake Relief
Can only be done in Part 4. You need to give Carla your coin purse after talking to her about the earthquake relief to unlock this achievement.

Ahoy There
Ahoy! More Than Twenty Times
Can only be done in the Part 4. Go to the adrift ship on the sea map and talk to the pirates there. Use the "Ahoy!" dialogue option repeatedly (more than 20 times) to get the achievement.

Achievements - Missable (PART 2)

Promise Keeper
Did Gullet A Favor
Can only be done in the Part 4. Also, you must play the game on Hard Mode to access the museum in Part 4. In the previous part, you acquired a book of poetry from Gullet to get on LeChuck's ship, hand it over to Conrad at the Pirate Museum on Mêlée Island to unlock the achievement.

Dental Samaritan
Gave Stan His Toothbrush
Can only be done in Part 4. All you need to do is pick up Stan's toothbrush at the shipyard on Mêlée Island and give it to him in the Ice Quarry (on BRRR Muda Island).

On The Lam
Let The Lumpsucker Escape
Can only be done in the Part 4 on Mêlée Island. Every time you enter the fish shop, the lumpsucker on the floor will edge closer to the door. Leave and return to the fish shop until it manages to escape (and get the achievement).

Flag Facsimile
Performed The Ole Switcheroo With The Replica Flag
Can only be done in Part 4 and you need to play the game on Hard Mode. First, you need to steal the replica flag from the museum on Mêlée Island. Then, you need to swap the flag on the adrift ship with the replica flag you stole. Take note that you need to do it BEFORE you steal the real flag from the museum.

Trophy Fisher
Became A Prize Chum
This achievement is missable (if you don't play the game on Hard Mode) and can only be done in Part 4. In order to unlock this achievement, you need to become a Prize Chum. To become a Prize Chum, you need first to ask the shopkeepers about the flag hanging above the door in the fish shop. Then, you need to improve your storytelling skill by showing up your fishing lure to these people:

- The pirate outside the Scumm bar
- Locke Smith in her shop
- Elaine in the lime grove on Scurvy Island
- Apple Bob on LeChuck's ship
- The ice quarry guard on Brrr Muda

When you are done, go back to the fish shop, show you fishing lure to the storekeepers and tell your story to become a Prize Chum !

Found All The Copies of ‘At The End Of The Plank’
Can be done entirely in Part 4. You need to examine all 5 copies of "At The End Of The Plank", a purple-covered book scattered in the game. They are located in:

- Locke Smith's shop on the right
- The governor's mansion in the bookcase
- The fish shop once it opens
- The ice castle on BRRR Muda Island (before you become the queen)
- Herman Toothrot's cave on Terror Island (before you steal the key)

Free Wally
Rescued Wally From Monkey Island
Can only be complete in Part 5. First, you need to need to examine the shackles at the front of LeChuck's ship with your magnifying monocle to obtain the serial number, this must be done in Part 2 or Part 3. Then, when you reach Part 4, give the serial number to Locke Smith to get a key made and use it in Part 5 to free Wally (and unlock the achievement).

I Don’t Believe
Returned To The World You Know
Can only be done in Part 5. Once you have Stan's keys at the very end of the game, head back into the alleyway and unlock the door. Go through it and climb back up the monkey head to see the secret ending (and unlock the achievement).

Can only be done in Part 4, after you beat the game once. To find the location of Cogg Island, you first need to find the trivia card with the question ''Where is Cogg Island located?''. One of the four answer will be a randomized coordinate. Follow the coordinate on the sea map and take a dive to find the secret island (and unlock the achievement) !

Trivia Quiz

Early in the game (in the ScuMM Bar), you can pick up a book of trivia that has a trivia card in it. Having the book in your inventory will allow you to collect hidden trivia cards in the game (their placement are random). Answering the question correctly gets you a nice shiny check mark, answering it incorrectly makes the card disappear, to be found again on your travels.
