N.S1021 Paddington Ranelagh Yard in the 50s

Description
Ranelagh Yard was a small yard just outside London Paddington station on the south of the main line. It had a very important role in the days of steam.

Any locomotive at the head of any entering express from the west, had to reverse out of the station and 'rotate' and refuel. For major turnarounds, locomotives were driven to Old Oak Common, but occasionally Ranelagh Yard was used for water and coal, and turning on the turntable.

This collection of scenarios will feature aspects of the day-to-day workings in the 1950s, to Ranelagh Yard and Old Oak Common. It will also include driving 'pilots' (locomotives responsible for bringing carriages in or removing them from the station etc). Pilots were usually 0-6-0 Panniers.

Do NOT need the Metropolitan Line!

Best if played from under the 'Standard' scenario Tab not Workshop.

Route: Paddington to Oxford - BR(W) V2. This is a Workshop route by heardturkey.
Duration: 15 minutes Difficulty: Medium
Scenario: Standard

NO Extra DLC:

I hope you enjoy driving in and around London Paddington.

Please let me know what you think of the scenario.

Hi 5056EoP. Thank you for the kind words. Great you have enjoyed 5 so far. Once I saw heardturkey had added Ranelagh, I just had to create a lot on the route.

I've just got round to tackling your scenarios for this route. 5 done so far and all are up to your usual high standard. Well done and many thanks.
Hope robmerlo is recovering well.

Hi Not Silent. Its really a bit late for Steam . I sort of planned it to be the time where the line was electric as far as Bournemouth but not the Weymouth section. It gives the option for splitting at Bournemouth and running push pull units + diesel hauled trains. I used track diagrams from 1992 (oldest I could find) so Weymouth Quay is still there + Brockenhurst Depot, and Fawley. Marchwood and Fulzebrook sidings. Weymouth Quay is laid but not quite right so I need to start again on that bit before I start any scenery.

Hello again heardturkey. Please put in Weymouth Quay, so I can add Channel Island Boat Trains! Now that would be fantastic. Just picture Bulleid Pacifics doing that!

Hi heardturkey. Thanks for trying my stuff.
Please do. I would enjoy creating a collection on it. With Warwick Rail's Hampshire lines around Southampton / Portsmouth nearing completion, your's would give me a lot of extra hours of creative fun. I could do Southern steam from Bournemouth and Western steam from Bristol.
