Description
Welcome back, commanders! If you used the WH2 version of this mod, then you know what the deal is. For everyone else, read on:




I really, really, really do not like Skaven. While they do not ruin my campaigns in WH3 the way they did in WH2, I'm not inclined to let them off the hook. This mod helps THE EMPIRE, High Elfs, Dwarfs, and Kislevite factions deal with Skaven in the following ways:

  • Several buildings grant Skaven plague attrition resistance.
  • A new commandment (edict) to lock down your province to reduce plague attrition.
  • A dilemma mechanic to intercept plague priests before they strike.
  • 4 new followers to buff your army when fighting Skaven: 3 will help you reduce plague in different ways, 1 will help protect you from Warp Lightning.
  • 4 new forgeable weapons for Dwarfs.
  • The Chamber of Visions building can help pinpoint undercities. (Note: it can't reveal them directly. Also too, this feature works regardless of race.)

The only races this mod works for are Empire, High Elfs, Dwarfs, Kislev, and Grand Cathay. If you want it to work for a different race, please let me know what your preferred faction is, which Skaven factions bother you the most, and why. Be detailed.


Wait, what about Nurgle??

The very respectable Herr Doctor Eff de Elle from Hochland assures us that "Nurgle" "poxes" (whatever those are) are entirely covered by pre-existing mechanics and do not require any attention from the Centers. Based on this sound advice, the Elector Counts and their allies have not seen fit to bless the CSC with any additional budget. Maybe another dept will assist? If so, that's in the future.


COMPATIBILITY

This is partially save-game compatible: you can activate the mod anytime, but do not de-activate it afterwards unless you're starting a new campaign!

Should be multiplayer compatible.

This mod should be compatible with everything, however if you ask "Is it compatible with X?" the answer is "I have not tested it with X, therefore I do not know."

Thanks man, there was a mod for WH2 that nerfed it. Its way to strong and obliterates tons of units.

@Saw It In A Pro Game Once - that's an interesting question, I'm thinking either a new follower with magic protection vs Skaven or a tech you can research. Will definitely look into it

@Zelian Rattlepaw - if it makes you feel any better, my Realms of Derp mod periodically hands over ruins to the nearest AI Skaven faction and my Storm of Derp mod changes one of the incidents to force the AI Skaven to build undercities w/ doomsphere and/or vermintides
