Description
NOTE: ATGM emplacements are intentionally turned off on all layers due to balance concerns. If you find a layer where they're erroneously turned on, please let me know. This is also partially why faction voting is not supported on all layers, since vanilla faction setups are not balanced for island hopping.

Overview
The Liareng Islands are a group of small islands in the second island chain of the Philipine sea. No stranger to military occupation, these islands have been defiled many times throughout the ages due to their strategic position. Now, as tensions begin to mount in south-east Asia, great powers once more turn their eyes towards this once pristine tropical paradise.

This is a Beta version, so expect some issues. Faction voting is not yet supported, and the eastern island is not in a playable state yet. Feedback and bug reports are greatly appreciated.

The map is intended to feature brutal close quarters jungle warfare, broken up by perilous island-hopping. The goal is to offer a hitherto unique experience, both in terms of aesthetics and gameplay, with an uncompromising focus on amphibious and airborne combined arms combat. The unique terrain will encourage (read: force) teams to adapt and actually coordinate between squads and vehicle crew if they seek victory.

If you want to hop on in single player and have a look around you can use the console command "adminchangelayer [LAYER NAME]". Use Shift+p to enter and exit spectator mode. If you do this I'd love to hear what you think of it so far, and how it performs!

Known Issues:
- Liareng_Islands_Invasion_v2 isn't actually randomized at the moment
- Armoured vehicles are not insulated from the ambient audio for some reason
- Lighting will sometimes be too bright when the layer is first loaded. I'm looking into this issue atm
- The staging phase timer is not visible at the top of the screen, can only be seen by opening the map
- Bunker Ruins POI has some weird issues with shadows
- Mountain looks like ass
- Shadows are a bit too dark on some layer
- Noticeable FPS drops when standing on extreme high ground, such as at the Air Station POI
- The ocean is too uniform across the board.
*This will be addressed once the final landscape layout has been set in stone.
- Ambient audio needs a bit more diversity depending on the location
- Ambient audio cutting off inconsistently
- General layer balance. Please let me know your thoughts on this if you ever play a live game
- Minimap needs to be updated and given a face-lift

@Nypo The Zeus add-on hasn't been updated to 7.2 yet so it won't run for anyone right now. I'm having some problems trying to get it working again, but I'll post when I do.

@the_moon_wolfy Unfortunately, the way the heightmap was originally generated back in the day prevents this, since the sea floor is already at the global minimum and thus can't be lowered further. In the next update the ocean clarity will instead be substantially reduced, which should obscure the sea floor.

Did you ever consider lowering the sand heightmap underneath the carrier?

Reason why is because it looks like the carrier is sitting ontop of the sand instead of floating in the water

@the_moon_wolfy haha I appreciate the enthusiasm but there is no way I'm going to be able to scam OWI into acquiring this lmao. If nothing else we have Sanxian Islands to look forward to eventually. :)

Will you ever try to pitch this to OWI? They still won't make a proper Pacific theme'd map.
They just took the half-assed Amphibious training map(Pacific proving grounds) and said "here" essentially. It's sad
