Every Censored CS:GO Misc Item | Part 3

Complete guide that showcases every CS:GO miscellaneous item that has been modified for the Chinese version of the game!

Introduction

Welcome to our 3rd and final guide of the series related to the Chinese version of CS:GO!

You might've thought that we already covered everything that was censored in the Perfect World version of the game, but we are not done yet!

Maps

There are currently three classic maps that have some sort of censoring for the Perfect World version of the game. Those are Mirage, Cache and Dust 2. Only Mirage is currently in the active map pool rotation while Dust 2 and Cache aren't. Weapons Course is also different for the Chinese version of CS:GO.

Mirage

Note: In order to save space and time we chose to showcase only one example, but basically every Arabic text was removed.

Cache

Note: In order to save space and time we chose to showcase only a couple of examples, but basically every art containing skulls and Soviet symbols were either removed or censored.

Dust 2

Note: In order to save space and time we chose to showcase only one example, but basically every Arabic text was either removed or swapped out with a French equivalent.

Weapons Course

Pins

Since we already know that it is considered to be culturally insensitive to depict skeletons in Chinese culture, that applies to pins in the CS:GO as well. Some of them also have their censored version.

Capsules

Capsules are also being censoring by Valve since they showcase stickers that have been modified for Perfect World version of the game.

We highly recommend taking a look into all of the stickers that are censored in these and other capsules. You can check them out in our second guide.

Operation Bloodhound

Valve had to revisit Operation Bloodhound before launching CS:GO in China. Since everything connected to Operation Bloodhound has a skull on it, Valve had to do some changes. And that is what they did! They've replaced all skulls with the dog paws.

Music Kits

Music Kits just like pins are mainly censored due to skulls and skeletons being showcased. There are a total of 6 Music Kits that are censored for the Perfect World version.

Achievements

You would think that some small things like Achievements would maybe somehow slide by with their original looks, but you would be wrong. All of the Achievements that include blood, skeletons, skulls... are censored. There are a total of 6 Achievements that are censored and look different for the players of the Perfect World version.

Primer

"Do at least 95% damage to an enemy who is then killed by another player."

FIRST!

"Be the first player to get a kill in an Arms Race or Demolition match."

Knife on Knife

"Kill an enemy who is on gold knife level with your own knife in Arms Race mode."

Seppuku

"Kill yourself while on gold knife level in Arms Race Mode."


Note: This achievement was originally available in the Beta, but was later removed.

Bunny Hunt

"Kill an airborne enemy."

One Shot One Kill

"Kill three consecutive players using the first bullet of your gun in Arms Race mode."

Other

They even censored blood! In the Perfect World version blood is colored black.

Oh, also. USA dollar signs, USA bills. Guess what? They're censored. We are not really sure why was it done, but it is a fact.
