Description
BGG: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/322616/comic-hunters

"Comic Hunters is divided into three rounds. In each round, players will visit three of the four locations where they can purchase Comic Book Cards. At the end of the round, players must place cards on the table to start or expand their collections. When adding a comic to a hero's collection, the player will move his markers on the icon tracks according to the Highlight Icons of the new card in play (Number 1, First Appearance, New Visual, Special Edition and Memorable Clashes.). The further the player advances on each track, the more points he or she may get. In addition, each collection scores based on the number of cards it contains. After three rounds the player with most points is acclaimed as the greatest comic book collector of all time and wins the game!"

Some mod specific notes about playing on TTS:
  • Cards are laid out at the bottom by Hero for easier setup, since a certain number of Heroes must be left out in games with less than 4 players (you will read about this on Page 4 of the rulebook).
  • I've created a secondary hand space behind your draw hand for you to store previously drafted cards in. Just drag cards back into that area to store them there.
  • I have translated the board and scorepad to English, but the game is mostly language independent because of some simple iconography on the board.

@OssianGrr, I had never thought about that. I just went through the deck and at most, there are only 3 combinations of removed Heroes that would remove 2 cards.

I'll personally keep playing it as only removing the single Hero icon cards for the ones I've removed as the way I read the rulebook it seems like that is what they were intending. The deck gets fairly thin by the end of a 4 player game so I think it would be worth having those 1-2 extra cards in the shuffle for the extra Spotlight icon options, but you could definitely pull out the cards from the multi-hero stacks if you'd like before playing! I think either way you play it isn't going to affect gameplay balance in any significant way.

Good catch though.

You have the cards laid out at the bottom with all of the cards that have a single hero icon on them. But by default you've included all multi-hero cards in the starting decks (along with Dr. Strange who is always there). If, for example, my two removed Heroes are Cap and Iron Man, shouldn't "Civil War #007" be removed from deck 1? It's a card that contains only Heroes that have been chosen for removal.
Just trying to make sure I do setup correctly. Thanks.
