When placing a medium iron or wood cage a greyed out version of the item remains in the hotbar even after the cage was placed in the world. Removing the placed cage via different methods adds a functional copy back to the inventory but the greyed out version remains on the hotbar. (Removal via picking up item in radial menu, removal via construction hammer, removal via moving the item in radial menu, removal by dragging the item to drop it to the floor all don't work.)
Functional vs greyed out version on hotbar: https://imgur.com/aajgcKw
Using the greyed out version just shows the text "Not enough resources".
The only fix seems to be either double clicking on the hotbar slot with the greyed out item or dragging the item back into the inventory both of which cause the greyed out item to vanish.
Other than that the mod seems to work just fine, I was able to convert thralls. These cages are a must have.
