See, when I was a young lad or lassie, I wanted a pet Gauranlen. But mom/dad said we had Gauranlen at home... IT WAS AN ANIMA TREE... So, using the cool tech the Archotechs once used to.. presumably create the Anima tree, I shoved a Gauranlen queen into it!

NOW YOU HAVE THE GAURANIMA TREE, best of both worlds!


This mod was originally thought up as more of a joke. But since I was bored, decided maybe it would be a cool thing to actually make. So, here we are. It does nothing special- just has the comps for adding gauranlen moss and the tree linking ritual tacked onto a normal anima tree. But if you like it, uh, have fun then!




Big thanksies to SirMashedPotato for helping this halfbaked brainchild come into existence.

I don't really have any plans at all. I'm not good at moddy stuff and this was mainly just a test to faff around with stuff I barely understood.

Maybe once I like, motivate myself to do stuff like this, it'll be fancied up along with the other ideas bouncin' around my noggin'

I like it, any thoughts on expanding on it? The aesthetics are the main appeal for me, maybe we could get color variants of these trees? Maybe different moss?

It's a nice mod (I'm personally all for reducing the amount of magical trees we keep around), but sadly it's not compatible with (as far as I've found) any of the mods designed to adjust things like number of dryads, connection gain rate, connection loss rate, pruning speed (unless modifying the pawn's pruning speed directly)... I can't help but think maybe it would've been better (for compatibility's sake) to shove the less mechanically-involved anima tree into the more mechanically-involved gauranlen tree. That'd also get around the sense of cheating I get from going "okay, just started a brand new game, there's an anima tree, not I have my first dryads".

Still, good mod. Just figured I'd offer some feedback. :)

Nothing will happen to the normal Gauranlen stuff, and nothing seems to happen to the Anima tree if you add mid save. Other than the issue with spawning gaurs-

Mostly just curious to what happens with my current gauranlen seeds and anima tree currently on the map

It makes it so the Anima tree also functions as the Gauranlen. (Though it actually has a bit of an issue right now where it won’t spawn the first gauranlen naturally. But it does fix itself if you spawn it in with devmode)

Just to be clear, this makes it so one tree can give psylink level, and focus while also pruning for dryads?
