Hearts of Minecraft: Every Village A Name

Beskrivelse
DISCLAIMERS:
  • This mod requires that Hearts of Minecraft be downloaded, installed, and activated along with this mod to function. This mod is currently designed for the Avalanche (1.15.*) version of HOI4 and the Petals of Hope version of Hearts of Minecraft.
  • This mod's primary use (village names) has been integrated into Hearts of Minecraft. However there will be discrepancies as this mod updates. Updates will continue to roll in an effort to improve EVaN.

A villager leads a simple life. They wake up, mingle with the other villagers, work, mingle for dinner, and go to sleep. All in all a good and humble life. Surely nothing could go wrong... right? So imagine their apathy when a random player comes to their town, plops a flag down, possibly drags a few raiders behind them, wrecks the place, and dains to claim it as a "Free Village". Surely if this hubris filled player were to understand and talk to the villagers they'd know the place already has a name. No matter.

Introducing a submod for Hearts of Minecraft, Every Village A Name! This submod focuses on the villager nations in the most basic of aspects. While this may end up growing with time for now it has two objectives...
  • Give villager nations names that are unique for every ideology after they solidify their sovereignty.
  • Provide said villages with a unique feel. This includes separate colors for each nation upon solidifying sovereignty.

Also included are a few additions and features. A few of them to date are...
  • The ability for all villager nations to choose anything other than Village or Civilian Economy.
  • The ability to create railways and supplies in specific regions (player only. Currently limited to Falconia and Deadcoast).
  • The ability to prospect for valuable resources (player only. Currently limited to Falconia).

This mod may have plans for the future which will possibly include...
  • Making Villager controlled states unique (population, industry, region type, etc...).
  • Adding further economic decisions for specific regions (prospecting, railways, supply hubs).
  • Adjusting and/or renaming strategic regions on the map.

Thanks to the Hearts of Minecraft team for making such a great mod.

Updated. With one minor hotfix it should be good to go. This is a maintainer update mind, not a content update.

That it would.

I still think that regional unifiers for multiple villages would be a cool idea

Funny you should mention unique aspects. The Alpha version of this mod (via the link in the description) actually tinkers and showcases one such example with the Village of Falcon having three starting ideas that try to make it unique. One of those starting ideas will disappear upon focus completion (once it's been developed to do so). So that aspect will be upcoming.

As for formables, while it's possible it's unlikely i'll cover it as I believe that may make the villages too powerful or defeat the purpose of every village having a name. I may tackle that at a later point in a purely cosmetic fashion (or with cores via a game rule), but for the time being that's a project for another day.

make a few unique aspects to the countries like for other generic countries to give em formables or something
