Description
Do you ever feel like the books of Nagash are too weak to be bothered with tracking down unless you happen to be in the area anyway? Well this mod aims to fix that.

Buffalo's Bad-Asp Mods - Better Books of Nagash (Beta) aims to make the books of Nagash feel like truly powerful artifacts that can have a substantial impact on your campaign. No longer will the tomes of the Great Necromancer feel like a cheap knock-off of true power. The following changes have been implemented immediately:

-Increased the power of the faction effects of the Books of Nagash.
-Additional (and potent) effects have been added to each and every one; no book was left untouched!
-The Tomb Kings, Mannfred, and Volkmar have both unique changes and additions the power they are able to tap from these manuscripts.

Beta warning - This is definitely a playable, albeit work-in-progress mod. You may experience unexpected effects or over/under tuned effects that are not intended to function as such. Even so, some things may be functioning as intended, but may not play ideally. I am relying on you (the playerbase) to give me feedback on how the mod plays and feels. The goal is to have the mod motivate you to pursue the books, reward you in an impactful manner for getting them, but also not just have them be an "I win" button that makes your campaign too easy.

Future plans:
-Adjust the books based on player feedback
-Tweak the books' rewards to be more thematic and individualized
-Break the Tomb Kings' book rewards into specific based on each faction (if possible)
-Increase the difficulty to acquire some of the more powerful books (with fun challenges, not busy work)

if you can create mod for Nagash which will remove army cap and make soldiers free like tomb king I will pay too.

The fix below suggested by OsamaBinDrinkin works like a charm. Opening this in rpfm and editing 3 lines is easy peasy.

@OsamaBinDrinkin I tried this and it didn't want to work. How many instances of wh3_main_effect_winds_of_magic_pooled_resource_change_positive_mod should there be?

Simple fix for crashing since 4.1

In effect key, replace all instances of:
wh3_main_effect_winds_of_magic_pooled_resource_change_positive_mod

With:
wh3_main_effect_winds_of_magic_increase_chance_mod

Is this still working? The books don't come up as an objective. They appear on the map with the green scroll but when selected, it says there are no active missions
