Overview

Remnants is a unique, innovative mod that rebuilds your Terraria world from the ground up, enriching it with new environments to explore and secrets to discover.

In summary, this mod adds:
  • A complete overhaul to ALL vanilla world generation
  • A diverse range of unique dungeons to test and reward your skills
  • Gameplay improvements, most notably reworks to some enemy AI

Compatibility

This mod is proven to be compatible with:
  • Calamity Mod
  • Thorium Mod
  • The Stars Above
  • Infernum Mode
  • Mod of Redemption

Remnants makes extremely drastic changes to the game's world generation, making it otherwise incompatible with most large mods.

This includes but may not be limited to:

is this actually compatible with calamity? i see a lot of videos and posts saying it isnt so im a bit scared, i used worldgen viewer and it seemed fine until it crashed. but other than that i think its compatible?

i can agree on:
- the ice temples, as those are extremely outdated
- the tree structures, as they received frequent complaints (and have been subsequently overhauled, effective yesterday)
otherwise, this doesn't really explain HOW this mod's generation is any more repetitive that that of vanilla, so the other critiques seem a little absurd

With no other mods, this one makes some extremely repetitive world-gen for me. Mushroom and gem biomes are absolutely everywhere, The same mine buildings are every 3 feet, same with the temple areas in the ice biomes being all over the place. Also, all the minecart tracks are completely flat with no slants unlike in vanilla.

The new structures are really awesome, but the world just generates them all over the place and it made exploring the underground pretty repetitive. Hell, even on the surface my world generated 4 of those giant tree house hotel things. Also every single chest is filled with cob webs and books for some reason.

All these new structures would be really great if they were a fun rare thing to come across, but I feel like I have no surprises left when exploring. The terrain is less varied than vanilla and its like the structures from this mod are replacing everything.

Feel like this probably is just buggy world-gen and not the intent. Dunno.

where to find the key that opens chests in the desert? Why is there the same loot in the caves? I can’t find Hermes boots, just regeneration bracelets, horseshoes and other garbage. It’s not clear how to cheat at all
