Description
What are we doing here?

Pretend you won the election to be seated as emperor of THE EMPIRE. Then pretend your electors started screaming about "norscans pillaging" or "greenskins rampaging". So you dispatch an army to save them, like a good emperor. Later you ask for a trade agreement. Perfectly reasonable. Naturally, they reply "BY SIGMAR, NO!" because the elector counts are all terrible.

But there was one group of elector counts that were not bad: the Underdogs! In TW:WH1 and WH2, any faction with the Underdog AI personality would be happy to sign any agreement, because they were cool.

Naturally, Creative Assembly removed the Underdog AI personality from game 3. This mod includes some of what was in the WH2 version of this mod, and some other stuff.


What does this mod do?

Steam puts a hard limit on character count so the changelist had to be moved to separate pages:
  • For Karl Franz, see here.
  • For Markus Wulfhart, see here.
  • For Volkmar the Grim, see here.
  • For compatibility details, see here.

In addition:
  • You may auto-resolve any Empire-related quest battle if you wish.
  • Gotrek and Felix will start with their special weapons. This was fixed in the base game!
  • Any items or followers that you gave to Gotrek or Felix (not counting their specials, of course) will be returned to you when they leave. They changed Gotrek & Felix to be Legendary Heroes, so they won't be leaving once you get them.
  • Where's Markus?: If the Imperial Expedition gets wiped out, the Huntsmarshal will make his way home eventually, his hunters will have their weapons, and their skills will be reset.

The garrison changes from John Austin's Localised Empire Landmark Garrisons mod for WH2 are now included:

  • The Imperial Palace - Carroburg Greatswords
  • The Great Temple of Ulrik - Swords of Ulrik
  • The Grand Cauldron - Stir River Patrol
  • Marienburg Port - The Bordermen
  • Nuln Gunnery School - The Emperor's Wrath
  • Blazing Sun Chapterhouse - Sootson's Guns
  • Sigmar's Rock - Knights of the Everlasting Light
  • Pfeildorf Wine Market - Eldred's Guard

In addition, there's a few other garrison changes:

  • Pigbarter Swamp Wharf - human/goblin/ogre garrison to reflect the mixed races that do business there.
  • The Amethyst College in the Gardens of Morr - an actual Amethyst wizard, not an extremely weak guy cosplaying as one.
  • Occupied Tower of Hoeth - Light Wizard because this is one of the settlements Volkmar the Grim must capture in order to gain control of a Book of Nagash.
  • Occupied Shrine of Asuryan - greatswords
  • Occupied Shrine of the Widowmaker - demigryph knights
  • Great Desert of Araby garrison - few extra units
  • Cathayan Embassy - few extra units
  • Bootleg Galbaraz Goldmine - demigryph knights
  • Occupied Graves of the Dragons - empire knights
  • Copher Docks - few extra units

@Raviollius - the easier the single-player campaign is, the more boring it is to play. But there were also so many weird inconsistencies that I felt would make it more immersive if I could get it more cleared up. After a while I got tired of trying to work around the weird coding choices and just went ahead and rewrote as much as I could

@AwDiddums - HI MORRSLIEB is Gelt's impossibly OP version of Hellstorm Rocket Battery. Imperial Dragon is a special unit you can get if your faction has Karl Franz. Both are RoR, the game will tell you when it's possible to recruit either

Hi, in the faction selection screen for The Golden Order it shows -90% for HI MORRSLIEB, what is that? Also, -90% for Imperial Dragons for Reikland, is this intentional? I couldn't see any of these changes/additions in your changelog unless I'm missing it tucked away somewhere. Thanks.

@Mars - sign a trade agreement with Northern Provinces (Miao Ying) and you'll get the short quest line to recover the Imperial Dragon. Not a mount, I don't know how to do those, but an RoR

Does Franz get a dragon at some point? I noticed he has an upkeep reduction to dragons with this mod enabled.

New update is up. I'm sure there's plenty of other stuff that needs fixing but so far I'm happy with Reikland & Golden Order. More testing this weekend, I'm sure.
