Lustrian Armaments

Description
OVERVIEW

Lustrian Armaments makes some simple basic visual edits to Saurian units in the Lizardmen roster. Currently, it is mostly reusing assets that already exist with a few small kitbashes to add some more visual complexity for Lizardmen. Vanilla Lizardmen do not have much in the way of armor or accessories, especially basic Saurus Warriors.

It also makes some immersion fixes (IMO, anyway) and removes giant spikes on shoulders (bad for poking in the face) and bits like that. The primary focus was making Saurus Warriors a little more visually interesting, distinct, and believable.

Most of these changes were made because I found the Saurus to seems a bit basic. They are an ancient warrior caste, and so I wanted that to be reflected in their visual design. It seemed strange to have them running into battle naked.

CURRENT CHANGES

Temple Guard - Updated with some custom kitbashes for new heads, armor, and bodies. Most taken/edited from Old Blood and Scar Veterans.

Saurus Warriors - Both versions of Saurus Warriors are updated to use the old Temple Guard armor.

Saurus Shields - Both versions of Saurus Shields are updated with a mix of Temple Guard and Horned One Armor to make them look a bit beefier than the regular Saurus Warriors and make them more visually distinct. Blessed versions use new bodies.

Saurus Old Bloods - Changed their accessories, removed giant spikes, things like that.

Blessed Chameleon Skinks - They now use Chameleon Stalker accessories.

FUTURE PLANS

Greater Variation - It adds more variety than vanilla, but I would like to increase this even further in the future.

Unique Assets - Most of the assets are reused from existing units with only a bit of kitbashing. I would, ideally, like to add more unique assets to it in the future to make all units feel even more distinct and have less recycled assets.

More Units - Might want to expand to more heroes and skinks. If I ever muster up the energy I might even do some unique heroes/units for the mod, but I might separate those out into their own mod anyway.

Excuse the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ formatting, I haven't quite figured out how to format in Steam.

If you like Lizardmen check out my other mod Wandering Nakai which removes his diplomatic penalties for trespassing.

Nice. It always bothered me that the lizzer boys were naked. I appreciate all the work that went into this!

if you want some feedback personally what I'd do is make the current basic saurus somewhere between what they are vanilla and what the legion of chaqua and horned one riders have with shoulder and leg plates along with other golden trinkets like tail or back spikes but never a complete set to convey that they've recently been spawned, something like 1 shoulder plate and 2 leg plates or 1 chest plate and 2 leg plates but no shoulder plates, etc. while keeping their blessed spawn variants what this mod depicts to convey their more favored status and the armaments that would come with it. sadly I have no modding experience whatsoever so I doubt I could ever do something like that.

two things.

1. star chamber guardians appear to be scuffed texture wise. everything appears fine except for the helmets which have a stretched texture that appears on all of them but dissapears when zooming away from them.

2. regular saurus warriors don't have this re-texture applied to them but their blessed spawn variants do, personally I like this as it distinguishes the blessed variants more but this likely isn't what you intended. temple guard on the other hand appear to be fine outside of aforementioned star chamber guardians.

great mod.

for some reason this mod has stopped working for me since the thrones of decay update

mod is cool but doesnt go well with cult of sotek since their lizards are green but your mod default them to blue. you can have green temple guard body with blue head and all the basic saurus are blue :(

@FENRIR lo siento, no hablo espanol.

I was able to understand enough, though, and what I can tell you is that I don't really use Landmark Spawnings, and so I can't really provide a solution for compatibility issues. If I had to guess, the mods probably edit some of the same things which is causing a conflict.

You could try loading them in a different order, maybe, but ultimately you might just have to pick using one or the other.

hiiii encontre un problema de compatibilidad con tu mod, el mod presenta problemas u errores cuando lo utilizas con land mark spawins haciendo que algunas de esas unidades les salga cosas raras en la batalla

shouldn't be, it's just some variant edits so it shouldn't really break with updates
