Installation instructions updated hopefully for a more easy setup. If you are coming from previous version firstly just verify game cache and remove "maxplayers" line from autoexec.cfg.

My attempt at making the game playable with other people. Prepare your sv_cheats 1, noclip, changelevel, give weapon_* or impulse 101, you'll need 'em.

Known issues (Not including map specific stuff here):
-99% of maps don't have checkpoints or softlock prevention yet
-APC gun doesn't have effects from driver's perspective (but still does damage)
-Some random and not so random crashes (If you report them please give as much details as possible)

Players: 33 or less

How to install:

These steps should be done by all players:
-Subscribe to this mod, wait for it to download
-Go to <steam folder/steam library>\steamapps\workshop\content\1583720\2856851374 on the same drive that you installed EZ2 on
-Run install_sourcemod.bat (maybe with admin rights just to be sure)
-Restart Steam
-You will now find Entropy: Zero 2 Coop Mod in your library, you will run this to play coop and it will be auto updated along the workshop mod
-Use Hamachi or similar program to establish connection with other players.

These steps are only for hosting player:
-Right click EZ:2 Coop Mod in the Steam Library
-Click Properties
-In the General tab find Launch Options text box and type "-maxplayers 2" without quotes, where 2 can be any number you want (this will be saved and doesn't need to be set every time). Close the properties window
-Launch the mod
-Open the console by pressing ~ (if it's not enabled do it in Options > Keyboard > Advanced)
-Type "map <mapname>" without quotes where <mapname> is the map you want to start from, e.g. ez2_c0_1 is the first map of the game. Just start typing ez2_ and you will see the list which you can scroll with up and down arrows. Press Enter. You should load into the game.

These steps are only for joining players:
-Launch the mod
-Open the console by pressing ~ (if it's not enabled do it in Options > Keyboard > Advanced)
-Type "connect <IP>" without quotes where <IP> is the IP address of the host player which you can get from Hamachi or other program that you are using. Press Enter. You should load into the game.

This mod adds following console variables:
sv_wait_at_changelevel (0 - disabled (default), 1 - enabled) - If enabled players entering changelevel trigger will get frozen and map won't change until all players are inside.
sv_coop_smooth_transitions (0 - disabled, 1 - enabled (default)) - Enables singleplayer-like level transitions which save objects from previous map.
cl_playermodel <model path> (default: models/bad_cop.mdl) - Changes current player model.
hud_showtargetid (0 - disabled, 1 - enabled (default)) - Display info about player under crosshair
hud_centerid (0 - above health, 1 - under crosshair (default)) - Where to display above info

These command are already in the engine but might be useful:
mp_friendlyfire (1,0)
messagemode - Opens text chat panel (to bind: bind "<button>" messagemode)
+voicerecord/-voicerecord - Start/stop speaking in the voice chat (to bind: bind "<button>" +voicerecord)
ai_force_serverside_ragdoll (1,0) - Disabled by default in this mod, and enabled by default in original game. Enable it to restore vanilla ragdoll interactions, but at the cost of A TON of extra network traffic and therefore lag if you don't have enough bandwidth. Also enabling it will bring back that stutter that happens when an NPC die.

How to save/load:
-Only host player can do this
-Don't quicksave/quickload, it doesn't work.
-Type "save <savename>" in console without quotes to save game, where <savename> can be anything
-Type "load <savename>" in console without quotes to load game, where <savename> is the name you used in command above.
-You can also just load saves from the main menu interface (they must be saved inside coop mod)
NOTE: When host loads an autosave (e.g. after a gameover) all other players will be dropped from the server and will have to reconnect. With "load" command however, you first need to drop all players yourself. To do this, you can either type "disconnect" into the console (may take multiple tries ultil you get the message that you have been dropped from the server), or restart the game.
