i fell it unbalanced in many points, like being able to change a unit even if you don't have the building, and the price is too cheap to make that on a 0 turn delay O_O
then i recommend:
double the price at least
make you have the building to do that
make the lord be at a settlement and not be able to do nothing
That sounds very fun! Thanks for sharing the cool story!
@Cthulhu The 3rd
There is a RoR submod that allows that. Take a look at submod post.
@TODD WORSHIPPER @Notteger
AI does use warband upgrade, it has been tested with RoR submod on --- AI will have multiple RoR units, which is not possible without the upgrade.
But overall that is not very obvious nor immediate, because AI also has its own recruiting and army composition logic, unit upgrade seems to be not a priority.
You could potentially test this by disabling the original upgrade system via MCT and activating the "AI upgrade" setting. Based on my tests, it's not perfect, but it does seem to work with Warband Upgrade Ultimate upgrades.
It would be ideal if someone could update or write a script that forces the AI to upgrade its units properly. I remember there were a couple of mods on the Workshop with scripts like that, but unfortunately, I don't recall their names, and they are very outdated now.
Just wanted to share this observation.
Any time you confederate an AI, standard practice is to go through their stacks and ruthlessly disband most of their troops, right? Most of them are worthless low-tier garbage that will only ever be dead weight. Except, the AI gets experience bonuses to try and keep up, so while the units are low-tier, they're often high-veterancy, which means with this mod, I can immediately upgrade them into something worth keeping around.
It creates stories you don't get otherwise. I took Lily's Bretonnia overhaul out for a spin, confedded the Bastonne Errantry over in Chorf lands, and rather than the usual disband cull, I ended up with an errantry crusade on the other side of the old world, smashing Thorgrim's enemies flat to buy an alliance with him. Great fun! 100% not the kind of thing I'd be tempted to do without this mod! Highly recommended.
