Indirect Fire Strategy
The idea is to use a tank like artillery in real life by using the arc of the shell to hit tanks far away over obstacles.
We can use a calculator to find the fire arc, which should allow us to hit almost any target on the map.
Vehicles That Work With the Strategy
The strategy requires tanks with a low muzzle velocity (less than 400 m/s) and large splash damage, Which is usually only tank destroyers.

Improved Indirect Fire Strategy
The biggest problem is that the artillery doesn't know where enemy tanks are.
To fix it you could send a plane up to spot tanks and mark them on the map, the plane can also tell you how far off you miss.

Conclusion
Now you should be able to shoot at tanks across the map and there will be no way enemies can get to you.

Gaijin should just add all sorts of Self Propelled Artillery in the game, BUT, you can only spawn with them after you score some points, similar to CAS.
Instead of having to fire directly at the enemy to kill them, you could open a minimap and just shoot somewhere on the map.
Depending on the BR, you could have: Airburst shells, Regular HE, Smoke or Timed Fuse HE.
