Rebalanced and Expanded Autocannons (+ MGs) - (Deprecated)

Description
Currently deprecated. See the "Rebalanced and Expanded Weapons" mod for full information. ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2869025156 )

**Major update (Sept. 15th, 2022)! Extensive balance changes have been made, and nine new weapons have been added.

Balance changes of note are: velocities have been increased for the vast majority weapons; ammo cost has been altered; spread bonuses for LBX ACs have been removed, as their performance was too great; and the heat and damage quirks of LBXs have been tuned slightly as they were both off-balance and out-of-line from other ACs. The new weapons can be found listed below in the weapons section, with their descriptions provided in the Google Docs information sheet - as is usual.

Please enjoy!**

This is a mod that rebalances autocannons and machine guns, and expands their selection by adding twenty-three new weapons; separated into six classes - five of which are returning weapons.

--

This mod has made many changes. Changes of particular note are the following: improved performance of the AC/2; improved performance of the AC/10; increased velocity for the AC/10 and 20; reduced prices for higher-powered autocannons; and earlier introduction dates.

Please see the following Google Docs data sheet for the specifications of all weapons; including original MW5 values, and documentation on the previous version: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AYYMCUON5Ac-qn4dNwpy4aIq_4nBAERtDNQWtUs68jk/edit?usp=sharing

--

The new weapons are: the Autocannon 3 (AC/3) and the AC/3 - Burst-fire (BF); the AC/30 and the AC/30-BF; the LB 3-X AC and the LB 30-X AC; the AC/2 - Rapid-fire (RF), the AC/3-RF, and the AC/5-RF; the LB 2-X AC - Hair-trigger (HT), the LB 3-X-HT AC, and the LB 5-X-HT AC; the AC/10 - Bludgeon (B), the AC/10 - Bludgeon Burst-fire (BBF), the AC/20-B, the AC/20-BBF, the AC/30-B, and the AC/30-BBF; with the following being returning weapons: the LB 2-X AC, the LB 5-X AC, and the LB 20-X AC; and the Light Machine Gun (MG), and the Heavy MG.

Please see the following Google Docs info sheet for information on the new and returning weapons: https://docs.google.com/document/d/17UAerxRFQZBZk3NeznhR3g6Wx_v03_DiY0VRjWflpA8/edit?usp=sharing

This mod was created to add more flexibility for autocannon usage via additional weapons and weights, and to make the game more fun. It aims to add more dynamism for different engagements through balance changes to more diversify and improve weapon characteristics, in addition to making autocannons more performant as cold-firing weapons in contrast to high-heat weapons (like rifles and high-powered energy weapons).

I hope you enjoy.

{P.S.: I'm no "modder": I'm just doing what I can to make the game - ideally - more fun. As a result, things may not be perfect with other mods that affect damage values; otherwise, everything should be fine. The mod is DLC agnostic, too.}

I actually was originally using the merged mod however the machine guns having a more projectile feel seems to conflict with the Mech Assault mod.

@Cursed Hawkins

Hey there.

This mod will certainly conflict with Dark's, as my mods change some - to nearly all - aspects of weapons. (I went to Dark's mod page and read their description, and what they described matches up perfectly as conflicts.)

Unfortunately, there is no way to make the two compatible as far as I'm aware, so it is likely impossible for them to be used in conjunction with one-another. I wish things were different (PGI allowing for mod-merging and other flexibility), but that's just the way it is. Sorry.

By the way, this mod is out-of-date, in case you weren't aware, so, if you want to use my mod in its most recent state, use the "Re-balanced and Expanded Weapons" mod.

Thanks.

Hey Chu, just bring this to your attention but your Rebalanced and Expanded mods conflict with Dark's "Enhanced Salvage and Repair" mod, I know they add weapons but I'm not seeing anything else within either of these mods that should be conflicting this badly.

@Oaklish, please check the link's URL. Both are Google Docs URLs. Steam flags certain URLs to protect people - seemingly if they possess text that could be considered computer code (which both of mine do, given that they are letter and spreadsheet documents). This behaviour is normal.

You do not have to take the risk to see it, but that is about all I'm aware of that I can do. If there is another option, I will investigate incorporating it; otherwise, all I can do is give you my word. I wouldn't spend all of this work and meticulous crafting just to con people, as there'd be much easier ways to do so (although that is also still something that can only be taken of as my word.)

ChuToy, the link you have is been flagged by steam and blocked

looks good. going to try it out. those hair trigger AC-2's looks awesome for what I like to do with ac2's, basically focus on anti-air and lighter units. filling the air with lots of rounds to maximise chance to hit and damage per second. looks like i'm going to have to load it up with ammunition tonnage and heat sinks, but I generally do that anyway. Let you know how it goes.

@Oaklish, changes have been made. Check data sheet.

Good mod though the ac2 HT is far to hot to be really usable causing the dps to be far to low
