Description
My version of the Swedish AJ-37 Viggen (Thunderbolt).
It's an approximation not a 1:1 replica.

Tweaked to work less awfully in version 1.2 of the game.

The AJ stands for "Attack-Jakt" (attack/fighter) so it's primarily used for ground/sea attack with four smaller missiles and two large RBS 15 anti-ship missiles.

NOTE!
Brick Rigs does not like the flight characteristics of this plane so I had to make the canard wings movable and work as pitch flaps to make it flyable since only pitch flaps in the rear don't work well. In contrast to JAS Gripen the real canard wings on Viggen are fixed with small flaps on but I had to make this change to make it work.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
Hold W: Afterburner. Good for short take off and crucial to maintain air speed while turning.
Hold S: Ground brakes.
A/D: Ground steering and yaw.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch. (Hold W to avoid losing all speed.)
Disable steering/X: Landing gear. Left indicator in cockpit - green for down and red for up.
Invert steering/Hold X: Airbrakes. Right indicator in cockpit - red for undeployed, green for deployed.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Auto cannon mounted in pod under the fuselage. Fires up to 5 round volleys.
Fire action 2-5/Num 2-5: Smaller missiles.
Fire action 7-8/Num 7-8: RBS 15 anti-ship missiles.

Camera 1: Left RBS 15.
Camera 2: Right RBS 15.

Thanks for the awards! 😊

I'd say start using the pre-made "definitely not lego" wings in the game and the pre-made flaps for control, just slap an engine on and a seat, see what happens and go from there. :)

Engineer 2.0 you get into the workshop and try. That's what I did. Start small and simple to see how the build process works and how what you build works (or not) in the game. My first plane 8 months ago was basically a stick with an engine, a prop, some wings with flaps and a tail fin. Then go from there. If you look at my earliest published planes they are simple and not exactly beautiful. 😁
There's no secret or shortcut, you just have to try it.

ok

BlueMellon probably not with the aerodynamics as they are. The AJ-37 VIggen is an old build of mine I just tweaked a bit to work a little better in 1.2 so it didn't take too much effort.
Also modern-ish jets are not really what I'm interested in building and TBH there are a lot of builders that would make a far superior Tomcat than I could ever make.
Right now I'm focusing on WW1 planes since they seem to suffer a little less with the new aerodynamics compared to WW2 planes.

does this mean you might make the F 14 Tomcat?
