What is different

Added in a working map (just to look at inside the boat for immersion)
Added a morse light atop the periscope to communicate via lightsignals
Rearanged some of the interior layout and added in a retractable table in the crew berthings to more resemble a proper submarine from that time (still not by any means right).
Crush depth added, do not go below 230m, or else your boat will be squished.
New lightmodes, day/night light (white/blue) and red light mode.
Reworked the steering area.

so if you have not added them already, you will get errors, missing items and not working equipment.

The whole purpose of my version was the decoration mod so you will need it!

EDIT: The time has finally come, for this sub to work, you do no longer need stormloader, just subscribe to the mods under this links https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3358321411 and https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3357808533 and load them with your new world. DONE! All the items should be there now in your official mod supported game. (Use the latest Beta Version for the game till they officially roll out the support!)


The major difference here is the depth hold system as well as the torpedo room, which was the work from GuntherDiez and I take no credit!

The depth hold works like this:

go inside the sub via the conning tower and down into the command area. Directly to your right is a depth control station. Activate both "Tiefenruder Hydraulikventil" as well as "Ballast Hauptsteuerung" and fill the main ballast tank "Hauptballast" up. The additional ballast tanks are only needed to adjust for spent torpedos. In order to set your depth, just use the throttle lever besides the depth rudders. 9.5 meters is perfect for operation of the main periscope and 6.30ish for the snorkel to work if deployed.

If you want to directly adjust your depth, just deactivate the Hydraulikventil and control the depth via the helm station up/down axis.

The steering is in the back of the command room and please be very carefull with that throttle lever...need to adjust the sesitivity a bit ^^. Only go to 0.55 speed tops underwater.
If you have problems lowering the periscope...you are too fast (also bring it back into neutral position).
If you dive and had your diesel engine running, it will fail if you go below your snorkel limit and the batteries kick in. There is a dial in the control room to check the charge level. If you resurface and fire the diesel back up, it will start up again and load the batteries.

The torpedon'ts

The torpedo tubes can be flooded in the torpedo room, opened and fired there to, nothing special. The new torpedos have sonar capability so just fire them into the general direction and see them blow the target up...most of the time at least.

Reloading them is straightforward. If you shot them, close the outer hatch(es) and wait till the pumps removed all the water (or at least down to around 800). It goes faster if you resurface...or just open the torpedo hatches and pray that the bilge pumps can manage.

Draining a tube takes some time.

I also redesigned the back of the boat again. Added in a rear facing torpedo tube, with one torpedo loaded, which brings your torpedo count to (nine) "NEIN!". For that one you just need to open the exterior hatch via the key, wait a moment and fire away. This tube cannot be reloaded/drained and is best used to get rid of chasing sub hunters.

Most gear is hidden in cabinets and there are some additional gimmicks.

Translated several main buttons to make using the sub easier for all anglo-saxons here. ^^

If parts are overlapping, then you are missing the better hitboxes mod. I did not check in with this build in awhile but I suspect it will still work and all parts are there if all is loaded into the game. Same as with the other boats. Why can you not fix the missing parts/holes in your game? Any reason for that? What area are those holes in, can you make some screens?

I activated all the mods, yet still is says "Parts are overlapping" and theres two stretching holes in the Torpedo room

When you spawn it in 2024, there is buttons and some blocks missing from the uboat, if you would fix it, that be great, thanks!

There is a translation right up in the description for most of the important functions, also I asked what you need help with...if it is nothing concrete you struggle with other than the language itself, well there are plenty of other u-boats and subs around, you can even stick to the original unmodded version from SergeantTeaspoon.

For your other question, who knows...

Theres no translation for the functions, theres none that have any. also why do you put ... after like every sentence
