This is a mod for various strategy games, that makes province names change their name dynamically, to one that fits the culture of the faction that controls them.

In the common database (for all the supported games), there are currently over 150.000 names for over 1.000 languages, themes and time periods.

The names are meant to provide an immersive and authentic experience for the game's setting and time period.
However, if there are no names for a specific language for this context, names from other time periods, or even from very closely related languages, will be used instead, as long as they make sense and are a good fit.

I'm playing Sinews of War and Culture Expanded (with compatch).
Witch MCN is better to use in this case, for SoW, for CE or both?

I believe he's referring to Culture Expanded's African/Afri culture, as in the inhabitants of Proconsular Africa, which spoke a variant of Latin.

Hi. I wouldn't use roman/latin ones because they wouldn't fit the african languages at all. I think the static vanilla names are the best choice, and I will keep adding actual african ones when possible, even tho I don't expect them to ever have a wide coverage unfortunately

African culture has no dynamic names. Could you use Roman/latin ones for them so they're not empty?

Hmmm, it's not MCN that changes the culture names. All MCN versions change only the landed title names and nothing more.

I agree that it would be cool to have that, but that would require another mod, as that's outside the scope of MCN. I can recommend CTP for vanilla but I don't know if there's any for CE.

I really like this mod! However, this version is missing a feature that the version for Sinews of War has: It doesn't change some culture and language names. I really liked that for example the Saxon culture was called Sassisch and their language wasn't low german, but Plattdütsch.
Would be cool, if those features were added to this version as well.

@(shiny) DiamondNova Nope, there's currently no way to make them all work together at the same time with MCN.
