ZiU-683 (also ZiU-10 and ZiU-6205) is a Soviet and Russian three-axle articulated trolleybus based on the ZiU-682 model. The first prototype was built in 1978. In 1986, the Uritsky plant mastered the production of an articulated three-axle trolleybus of extra large capacity ZiU-683B with a thyristor-pulse control system (TPCS), which saves up to 25% of electricity. Later this model was upgraded. It is operated in many cities of Russia and the CIS.
