DESCRIPTION:

This is based off a Bell Boeing concept of a quad-rotor V-22 Osprey, otherwise know as the V-44 Osprey (which is also being made in the form of a gunship), was designed to be capable of carrying light armor such as an APC or Bradley. The massive V-66 Osprey is capable of carrying just about any ground vehicle, watercraft, and most small aircraft that can fit under the tail section, as well as a few GBU-43 MOAB bombs.

Current Features & Planned Features:

- A user guide or flight manual on a tablet device is located in a slot above the pilots left hand. Clicking on it will bring up the tablet and provide general information as well as instructions on how the UI and aircraft functions.



- Has an interactive UI. Once inside the pilot seat hold down Ctrl or hit your in game chat key to allow you to use the mouse cursor, and press the word "Start" on the center screen of the display.

(Note: Pressing EXIT turns off the displays).



- Has animated engines that tilt forwards or backwards based on the vehicle's speed and pitch.

- Has animated landing gear that extend and retract based on the vehicle's altitude.


- Pilot can drop a large bomb that should destroy any objects in game that would complicate or make landing difficult or impossible. There is a special indicator that lets the player know when they are at a safe altitude to deploy it.


- Can land in water and have a small boat enter the aft section to off load loot or player(s) directly inside the aircraft.

(Note: the boat will not go with the aircraft unless it is attached using the vehicle hook).


- Has a vehicle hook capable of transporting vehicles anywhere located under the tail of the aircraft.


- Carry your tanks, boats, or even small aircraft across the map. Just hover and position yourself on top of a vehicle. Engage the hook, go full throttle, and disengage hover mode.



- Has a hover mode that can be turned on and off using the lock/unlock key.

(Note: Hover mode can be used to pick of vehicles without landing).


- With hover mode engaged the player can exit the vehicle and will appear inside the aircraft near the cockpit.

(Should be fixed)


- Autopilot activates during hover mode when pitched forwards at 30 degrees, keeping the same heading, speed, and
altitude.


- Has cargo space for lockers/containers/barriers to store your items.


- Can place generators, emitters, sentries, and beds inside and outside the vehicle so you may respawn if you die.


- Has small horizontal fin-like objects that stick out from both sides of the aircraft. These are specifically designed for sentry placement.


- Has a large fuel capacity.


Additional Info:

- 'Sentries and Traps' mod by dogfood is highly recommended. Flat sentry have no tripod and just the turret where a weapon is stored and each sentry version has a normal or infinite ammo version.


- To land precisely on a target, such as a large rooftop or a really big ship, activating and deactivating hover mode quickly will allow you to make quick adjustments in elevation and direction. so you can maintain control of the aircraft and have time to react to unwanted movement. The large fuel capacity will allow for you to take the time needed to make a perfect touchdown. You will need to throttle up the engine speed to move the aircraft otherwise it will just float down.


- The use of hover mode mentioned above can be applied if you want to slowly descend on top of a helicopter or aircraft with out completely landing on top of it, creating problems. Just remember if the vehicle you're picking up is taller than the tail section of the aircraft, you will need to release the vehicle before landing.

(Note: If you drive a vehicle under the tail section and it pushes the tail of the aircraft upwards, you will need to pick it up in hover mode).


- The GBU-43 Massive Overhead Air Blast Bomb aka MOAB or Mother Of All Bombs, is intended for clearing a landing zone in forest or infested areas, but it can also destroy structures and vehicles, including your own. There is a special indicator that let the pilot know when it is safe to drop. More info can be found in the Flight Manual.

(Note: Server owner's might want to make this weapon unavailable or very hard to get for their player base).
