Carthago Delenda Est (150 BC Bookmark Start Date)

Description
Carthago Delenda Est is a 150 BC Start Date for Imperator Rome. During this time, Rome has emerged as the dominant power of the Mediterranean, while Carthage struggles to survive. The Seleukids are in a civil war, while a pretender to the Antigonid throne rises up in Pella in Roman-controlled Macedonia. In Hispania, the Lusitanian hero Viriathus shall rise up in defiance of Roman treachery.

MISSION TREES:
  • Rome (Conquest of Carthage)
  • Pella/Macedonia (Pella turns into Antigonid Macedonia)
  • Indo-Greek Kingdom
  • Laconia (independence tree for cities formerly under Sparta)
  • Carthage (NEW) - (conquering Africa missions)
  • Pontus (NEW) - (Black Sea missions)

Historically, within a decade after 150 BC, Carthage would be destroyed, the last traces of the Antigonids of Macedonia would be wiped out, Parthia would become a major empire, and both the Ptolemaic and Seleukid dynasties would fall into a series of civil wars that made them fully incapable of contesting Roman hegemony in the Mediterranean.

Some other interesting starts:
  • Pella in Macedonia, which will turn into the Antigonid Kingdom of Macedonia via Mission tree or event
  • Menander, the greatest king of the Indo-Greeks
  • Shunga Empire of India, which has just overthrown the Mauryan Empire
  • Eukratides the Great, king of Bactria

More information about the characters and setting of the start date can be found on this thread (I will also be posting updates such as new mission trees added to the mod on this thread):

Other features include new heritages, formable nations, flavor events, decisions, and appearances of historical figures like Marius, Sulla and Mithridates VI. I plan to expand greatly upon this mod with more missions and flavor in the future.

***Special Thanks to New Historian for help with planning and creating the Antigonid Macedon mission tree!

bump for invictus, can be a drag to play hundreds of years to get to the empire period

@Ang3lyk4 Thanks for the suggestion. I would need to redo a lot of map changes for Invictus compatibility, but I did have that in mind as well, just need to find time to make an Invictus-compatible version

could you make it compatible with invictus? would really improve alot of whats already here as with invictus' extra stuff we could truly go about creating a fun campaign (p.s will try with invictus anyway just for the sheer: "can it even work" but my request still stands)

@cpimentel ~PdS~ Thank you, I am glad you like the mod! I had wanted to make more bookmarks as you suggested, but I have been pretty busy as of late. I think if I were to make another bookmark, it would probably be for the Second Punic War

Is there any chance, you think, for a future bookmark as detailed as this in good future at the beginning of the run to the First or Second Punic Wars, or even the Macedonian Wars? Even if not, this is a truly magisterial piece of work, and I'm quite happy to have discovered it now!

Great mod, I only wish it was compatible with Invictus :/
