Description
My second (and slightly) better version of the iconic Avro Lancaster Mk I heavy bomber.

It's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

This one carries 14 1000 lb bombs (bomb load codename "Abnormal").
It's also armed with 2 + 2 + 4 machine guns in nose, dorsal and rear turrets.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brakes.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.
B/Beacon: Retractable landing lights.
Hold X/Invert steering: Bomb bay doors.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Bombs.

NEW!
PgUp-PgDn/Auxiliary (without Alt): Fire in engine one.
Alt + PgUp-PgDn/Auxiliary: Fire in engine two.
L/Headlights: Fire in engine three.
K/Hazard light: Fire in engine four.
I can't stop the engines since the plane won't fly with lopsided engines but you get a lot of smoke and some flames (as in orange smoke) for RP purposes.

The bombs are released in sequence and it takes a bit over 5 seconds for all to release. A green light will light up in the cockpit when all are away.

The turrets are controlled from their respective seat. Alt controls.
Arrow keys/Mouse: Aim.
Fire action/Num 1: Fire.

Camera 1: Bomb sight.
Camera 2: Nose turret.
Camera 3: Dorsal turret.
Camera 4: Rear turret.

The 14.000 lb/6,350 kg bomb load makes the plane a little heavy, so make sure to reach at least 150 kph on a long runway before you try to take off.

Feel free to edit, but if you re-upload publically in any way please acknowledge the original creation and creator.

Have fun!

yeah

Yeah I don't like putting wheels on torpedoes or bombs, it looks a bit wrong and goofy if you know what I mean. :)
I might try something with a heavile encased bomb that can be dropped at least from some distance up and then a timed explosion. But again, we'll see when I ge tto it.

To make dam buster I think you put wheels on the bomb then when it hits a flat structure it explodes
Mean Green  [author] Jun 3, 2022 @ 12:32pm
I was considering the Dam Buster but not sure how to make the bomb NOT explode when it bounces and wait until it stops. I might try some things and see what might work but no promises. I was also considering adding more different payloads like incendiaries etc but regardless of explosive type the explosion seems to be the same just slightly smaller or bigger, so adding petrol for example doesn't make it burn more or longer. At least not from a quick test I made with different "fillings" in the bombs.
I'm not sure what I'll make next. I'm away from home for a few days this weekend and next week I'll be quite busy so not sure how much time I'll have.
The list is not numbered so I just pick whatever I feel like. My Katyusha rocket launcher wasn't even on the list and it just popped inot my head that I looked for one in the Workshop but couldn't find a good one.
So I can't say what'll be next, or when, sorry. :)

whats next on your list dam buster or a different plane or a rework just curious :P

There are several tanks of all types in the Workshop already and a lot of them are really nice - nicer than I could do - so I don't think I'll be making any tanks. I'll probably stick to planes since there are a lot fewer of those that both look nice and can fly properly.
