Description


Compatible with New Frontier 2020 - Gathering Storm - Rise and Fall - Vanilla
->The Gathering Storm XP, The Rise and Fall XP, and the GranColombia DLC are necessary for this mod to work.


The Pueblo Civilization is led by Po'pay.

Leader Trait: Rotten wooden idols
All units gain +5 Combat Strength when fighting in Desert tiles, and +1 Movement if they start their turn there. Both of these bonuses are doubled in tiles inside Puebloan territory.

Civilization Trait: Oasisamerica
Can build Farms on Desert tiles, and on Desert Hills tiles with Civil Engineering. On those types of tiles, Farms receive +2 Food, and Mines receive +2 Production. Desert, Desert Hills tiles cost 50% less Gold to purchase.

Unique Unit: Lada:kwe (replaces the Warrior): Available at the start of the game, this powerful Unit replaces the Warrior and has 25 Combat Strength. It generates +3 Great Prophet Points when it destroys an enemy.

Unique building: Great Houses: Available with Masonry at high cost, it grants +3 Housing in the city and +1 Faith on tiles with Breathtaking Appeal. Completing a Great House grants a random Inspiration.

Unique building: Cliff Dwellings: Construction unlocks the Builder ability to construct Cliff Dwellings, unique improvement of the Pueblos. Limited to 1 per city, it is buildable on Desert Tiles.It grants +2 Housing and +1 additional Housing with the discovery of Exploration.+1 Faith and +1 Appeal. +1 Culture for each adjacent Farm, increasing to +2 additional Culture for each adjacent Farm with Colonialism. Provides Tourism Tourism after researching Flight.

Agenda: Return to the state of our antiquity: Doesn't like civs that compete for science, prefers civs that focus on their traditions.

PS: It seems the Corporations mode breaks this and the Sitting Bull mod. Otherwise it works fine.

And for the record, Gedemo? One of my favorite mod Civs of all time. You can do so much with them as long as you have the desert.

I love the mod, but there are two things I would change;

1. I think their unique building should instead be the Kiva, to act as a replacement for the shrine.
2. While naming them Pueblo would help with finding this mod (as most people would know them by that name), it is inaccurate, instead Po'pay would be leading the Tanoan Civilization as that was what their language family was called.

Super sick civ! If you ever get the chance I've always thought a civ based on the Hohokam would be amazing. A massive native society in the former Sonoran desert region that created sprawling population centers by building massive canal systems to carry water to the parts of the desert they grew food. Modern day Phoenix has extensive canals to do the same thing, and most of the canals in that area were actually canals that were restored when settlers came around. Canals in Civ always felt like they could have used a revamp to me. A civ that could create canals in the desert off of rivers to add massive food and gold bonuses to adjacent tiles would be so cool.
