Elves of Stellaris - Planetary Diversity Patch (OBSOLETE)

Description
As of 3.12.1, Planetary Diversity changed their habitability matrix to use vanilla planet types.

Therefore this patch is no longer necessary and will exist only to spread this message and then eventually get deleted.

Not sure if there's demand for a 3.11 (and lower) patch, but if so I'll rename this.

========

This is a fix-up of an earlier mod ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1165953098 ) which did most of the heavy lifting.

If the original mod is updated, this patch can disappear.

Honestly not certain this is working, if so the changes should be:

- Added all PD planet types to Drow and Lunari hab prefs

Specifically, for Lunari:

pc_glacial_habitability = 0.6 pc_antarctic_habitability = 0.6 pc_eyeball_habitability = 0.6 pc_rogue_habitability = 0.6 pc_aeolian_habitability = 0.6 pc_pd_iceberg_habitability = 0.6 pc_cryoflora_habitability = 0.6 pc_glacio_habitability = 0.2 pc_arctic_habitability = 0.2 pc_snow_habitability = 0.2 pc_geothermal_habitability = 0.2 pc_tidallylocked_habitability = 0.2 pc_wettidallylocked_habitability = 0.2

For Drow:

pc_karst_habitability = 0.8 pc_lanthanide_habitability = 0.8 pc_aeolian_habitability = 0.8 pc_mushroom_habitability = 0.8 pc_cenote_habitability = 0.8

... and the other types set to lower habitability values.

this mod (PD - EoS Patch v3.1)

Submods of Planetary Diversity or Elves of Stellaris can appear anywhere after their main mod -- all the defines used in this mod come from the base PD and the base EoS. This mod will not conflict with Gigastructures, nor with Giga Diversity, and should be compatible with Guilli's Planetary Modifiers, Planetary Wonders, Legendary Planets, and More Events Mod -- those are in my usual play set.

:) It's not updated anymore, but if you're getting use out of it for an older version, then I'm happy to help.

Been playing with this mod for years, thanks for keeping it updated, it's a classic!

Thanks for answering anyway^^. Right now I bypass this issue by manually adding the origin-features via the console (have to write down their name somewhere before I forget them) Hopefully this can be adressed from the EoS side.
And I don't think, that PD is removing it but somehow "blocks" it? If you have PD on and still choose a vanilla 9 planet class for your homeplanet, the features do NOT get blocked/cancelded. But how this works? Changed the way planets are adressed? Flags? I fear, I have even less clues^^

Interesting, it didn't used to do that, and I have absolutely no idea how to make it stop.

How annoying that PD is deliberately removing content from other mods.

This isn't the right place because I have no clue how to help, sorry!

Greetings, idk if this is really not needed anymore or if this is the right place for the problem. But it seems, that the planetary features of the elven origins get canceled if the Homeplanet is NOT sth out of the vanilla 9 (Continental, tropical, arctic etc.) Even the new "vanilla-variants" by PD cause this to happen, for example the forest world (continental-variant) or the blossom world (tundra-variant i think). Same Problem for the rare non-variant types (Superhabitable, Tidally locked and Karst).
So some kind of patch could still be needed, i just don't know if it's the intention of this patch^^

So you can play without the patch while paying attention to the starting planet?

Anyway, thanks for all your hard work!

Thx for your hard work~

Nice! I'll be glad to retire this

This patch is not needed in it's current state because Gatekeeper completely reworked his new planet classes. Now there's a problem with planet generation. PD uses a script that turns all custom planet classes into vanilla ones with modificators. This can rewrite planet features if your starting planet is nonvanilla class.

I did some initial testing and the combo does not crash, but PD seems to have made some changes and I've not had a chance to test through them.
