6C24 Chester to Crewe

Description
Your Class 70 journey continues from Chester to Basford Hall
Routes required: North Wales Coast Line (TFW) Crewe to Holyhead; South Wales Coastal Bristol to Swansea

Metropolitan Line is NOT required

DLC:- (For AI) WCML Over Shap, WCML South (Euston to Birmingham), Class08 TOC

Standard scenario

Difficulty:-Medium

Duration:- 35 mins

Description:- A short wait at Chester to allow early morning passenger traffic to sort itself out and then you will proceed to Crewe Basford Hall.
This is only a short run and traffic is still light. However the final run into Basford Hall sidings is challenging due to the line speeds and severe gradients so take care.

Driver Notes:- This is not a scheduled scenario. Therefore, as long as you run to signals and allowed line speed, all will be well! For those that like some timings, we have put suggested times at the "go via" points on the F1 task list.

If you enjoy this part, The start of the journey was 6C24 Holyhead to Bangor and can be found on this link:

The second part of the journey was 6C24 Bangor to Chester and that can be found on this link:

We trust you will enjoy the drive as much as we have had creating it.

I've played this one out of sequence, so must try the other two soon. This one was well done and particularly enjoyed route thru Crewe to Basford Hall. Thanks Nat and Chris.

Made this 3part Szenario one after one. Started with a wonderful sunrise. All along the route very interesting information about history, some were very sad, and the land. Thanks a lot for your effort!

Hi blacey4
Many thanks for playing all three scenarios and for the kind comments. You are right about most locos not throwing out much light from the headlights in TS. I agree that it is highly unlikely that DTG will correct that now. It is one of the reasons why Nat and I don't do any scenarios in darkness, ours tend to be either at dawn, early evening or during the daytime. There seems to be little point putting in AI trains if you can't see them pass by!!
Best regards
Chris and Nat
