SM10 Cargo Rack [Reforged]

10x320k cargo module for Astra module carriers. Reforged Galaxy/Eden 1.7.


The SM10 (Storage Module - 10x) is a dedicated cargo module for FilbertFarmer's Astra line of carriers. It will extend the carrier's cargo capacity with 10 320k containers and an assortment of smaller capacity cargo boxes. Like its larger brother -- the Helios-compatible SM20 Cargo Rack -- this design is an "open space" configuration and will require an EVA boost to physically access the cargo boxes. It is intended to leave attached to the carrier for long-term storage needs. As such is has limited thrust, a lightweight carbon hull to reduce overall weight, and no defenses. However, as long as the ship remains docked it will be impervious to enemy damage due to how the game is designed (as of version 1.7), so your cargo will be safe even if it appears to be exposed.

The ship features a power-conserving docking mode that will automatically turn off the ship when you are not near it. It can be enabled through the control panel by activating the "Dock Mode" switch and turning off the "Oxygen" switch (this suppresses the O2 warning you get when turning off power to the ship).

The SM10 can also be configured for landing and docking to a carrier deck by installing 2x Landing Gear 3 on the bottom rails of the ship (see picture in scroll). A boarding ramp in the front will give you access to the ship.

If you wish, you can change the container colors by modifying the 6 colors in the upper-right of the paint tool's palette.
