Dah Build for dah Sleep needed chads (Or Singleplayers)(still chads)
Mr. Bacon's Project Zomboid Trait Guide

My personal favourite traits: (I play Sprinters)

-Negatives first of course-
You start with no job like a chad because you're ahem UNEMPLOYED. get a job
  • Choose unemployed +8, that's +8 already!!!111!
  • High thirst, water is hecking abundant in the apocalypse +6
  • Pacifist, literally 25% less experience with fighting, free +4
  • Restless sleeper, literally just sleep 1 hour longer +6
  • Smoker, lighters are everywhere and zombies drop cigs... +4
  • Slow healer, don't get hurt, be a chad, drive safely +6
  • Slow reader, free in singleplayer, 30% slower reading. +2
  • Weak stomach, don't eat rotten food and cockroaches +3
  • Short sighted, -2 foraging area range... who forages? +2
  • Prone to illness, literally stay out of the rain... don't eat dead rats mf +4

Altogether that's 45 points to spend! Wow I am great.

Positives-

  • Cat's eyes, makes you see in the dark good af -2
  • Outdoorsman, never catch a cold, rain is nice -2
  • Dextrous, 50% faster looting, good for fast raids -2
  • Strong, makes you a melee chad, you carry more -10
  • Athletic, you can now skip leg day in the apocalypse -10
  • Thick skinned, tired of dying from an unlucky bite? -8
  • Fast learner! Gain a 30% bonus in leveling! (except fitness and strength)
This will cancel out pacifist mixed in with slow reader giving you 105% to melee leveling,
ㅤㅤand of course learn everything (except fitness and strength) 30% faster! -6
That all costs you 40 points, you got 5 left. This is mostly up to you.

Lose the smoker trait and just choose speed demon (chad) or...
I prefer light eater and speed demon, light eater making you need 25% less food is nice in 6 months in gameplays.

There are many traits you can use with 5 points so it's up to you!

Maybe even get Sunday driver and spend those 6 points on organised, carry more with you and become a hoarder like your mom grandmother.

Tough skinned can be avoided if you know you're careful or not playing with sprinters, but personally it has helped me survived various bites that should've eaten off my poo hole.

Smoker to me as well ads another moodle to look after, adds more to the aesthetic an feel of being in the zombie apocalypse.

This was my build, the real Mr. Bacon, signing off.
Honorable Mentions
  • Thin Skinned +8, if you're a chad and don't get attacked because you killed every zombie.
  • Sunday driver +1, you drive really fricking slow, but good if you're learning to drive.
  • Conspicuous +4, those zombies already see you from far away, makes them see you from double the average radius.
  • Wakeful -2, tired of falling asleep halfway into battle? This removes the need for sleep by 30%! Remember at max you can do 95% less damage if you're ridiculously tired. Good if you struggle to find shelter.

Please remember with Burglar as an occupation, many zombies drop keys and cars might have keys in the ignition or in the cubby yes yes yes

There's a lot to do with traits,
some points have been changed,
but this is the basics.
📜My Tips I've Caught While Playing👇
Number one:

You WILL eventually fackoing die mate, this is a more early build. In multiplayer it's hell to train fitness and strength, singleplayer you maybe will have time to waste and fast forward in your farm house way up north Muldraugh, but in multiplayer man... or 🔪woman ahem, it's poopy.

Numero dos:

Hemophobic is a nightmare, if you're MAYBE JUST MAYBE, going for a ranged build it's practical in some way. Just don't waste all your water on washing your clothes because you're scared of blood in the zombie apocalypse 💀

Number 🌲:

Fish, literally just fish. Find a pond, find a swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool I don't know why but you can fish in a swimming pool it's not something to question. Spear fish, it's not too bad in multiplayer and it's a hefty amount of food, your spear rarely breaks. Cut fish up and eat it raw or cook it, it wont give any food poisoning. Literal free food, FISH FOR GOD'S SAKE!

Number ✋:

When cooking near a campfire, CARRY WATER. I've lost a couple survivors while cooking up some tasty bacon on a campfire, you catch fire, you're made to die in this game. Right click your water bottle to extinguish yourself.

Number 69:

Rip some sheets off of zombies's clothes (with consent), fill a cooking pot with that juicy water🌊🍲. Turn on the oven and throw it in there, wait a couple seconds and then right click the pot... bam, click sterilise bandages and it'll sterilise those nasty old rags and act as any ol' bandage with disinfectant. Please boil your rags... and turn off the oven... please.

My final words of wisdom... please dear lord 🔥TURN OFF THE OVEN🔥, after cooking your sausages... my friends know why I live in a shed outside our house with the generator inside actually... I deserve it.

Thin skinned increases your chance of getting scratched when walking through trees, but nothing for vaulting fences. you can deal with the trees by using the "Walk to" feature, which automatically avoids trees. You can also pick outdoorsman which will prevent nearly all damage from trees, give you foraging buffs, and prevent colds.

Also Congrats on making your first guide! It's always awesome having more people invested in helping out the community. Even though I'm coming in here with critiques, in general, your build is mostly accurate to what I'd recommend for a new player, aside from a couple things.

This is my first guide though, I did make another one without thick skinned ~

I run a burger flipper build now, honestly you just die from 2 zombies stun locking you, you rarely die from infection cuz when you're grabbed it's mainly gonna result in stun locking DEATH

Thin skinned I'll experiment with more, but I rather run normal, doesn't it increase your chance of getting hurt from basic stuff like vaulting fences wrongly?

For most new players, I'd recommend playing with friends first, and being okay with dying early. It's part of the game. Cure mods are fine though. There's no shame in wanting a more laid back zombie fighting experience. The reason I say to remove thick skinned and add thin skinned is because it's a very small difference in bite resistance, with a useless side perk of reducing the amount your clothes gets damaged from walking through trees, which you already shouldn't be doing. 16 points is enough to get an entire job class like fire fighter, or woodcutter, which will most likely increase your survivability more than a 9% increase to bite resistance

I honestly just play with cure mods, sometimes it's annoying to spend so long on a character just to die to an unlucky scratch, games lag, human errors are plentiful, but our time on Earth is not. So if you're quite new I'd still use thick skinned so that most don't rage quit and never rejoin the game :(

Remove thick skinned, and add thin skinned. It's a bad habit to let yourself get hit with unlucky bites. just don't get in cars near hoards, and whisper at doors before you walk in

Heh, learned the bit about the oven the hard way, was in a little 4*4 shack in one of my first playthroughs, made dinner forgot to turn it off and was woken in the middle of the night by the explosion that somehow destroyed my bed, burnt down my house but left me just fine :D
