Recondo
"Recondo" is a group of Single-player/Co-op missions following the story of a LRRP team (Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrol) with the 101st Airborne during Vietnam.

Eventually meant to be a short campaign with 6+ missions (many in progress), the missions follow a coherent story with the same characters and their deployment and experiences in Vietnam in the Central Highlands during 1967. The campaign is meant to have more ambiance than your typical Arma3 missions and are a tribute to games like Vietcong, Hidden and Dangerous, and Battlefield Vietnam from when I was a kid.


Recondo Chapter 1:"Fields of Fire"

Still The FNGs at their new Company, "Recon Team Druid" are asked to help in a non-LRRP role as the 101st conducts an Air Assualt on a nearby village. Lt. Colonel Dorgan uses this as an opportunity to test out the combat readiness of his new Recon team. Can they leave a good impression?

Current version is complete, but major and minor updates and upgrades will continue to be made with awesome suggestions I am getting. Please leave a thumbs up or down after playing.

Really enjoyed this however I got to the chopper at the end and there was no radio command to take off?

All projects and updates are put on hiatus until further notice due to life circumstances. Some new missions and updates are close to being finished, but cant continue to work on them at the moment. Hope you guys will play them when they are released, and thank you to the thousands of subscribers and everyone who gave me feedback. Just finished playing this through and what a great mission. Loved the pace of it and it had great atmosphere throughout. All the AI did everything I needed it to do and the radio support was most welcome :D The challenge was satisfying and not overwhelming and I'm looking forward to starting chapter 2. Really good mission and highly recommended.

Thanks man. Im sorry. I’m aware. Ive been super busy, but Im about half-way done doing a little revamp of the level. Its been a problem for awhile and Im just swamped with work and family life. Thanks for the feedback.

i loved the first mission but at the end i couldn't take off with the heli as the 001 wasnt working for some reason

Going to give these missions a try! before I start though I wanted to thank you for making these missions WITHOUT any additional mods (like Unsung) really makes it easier to jump right in :)

Lord shing. Hey man, I appreciate the feedback. Fact of the matter is, I only have so much patience to fully test and retest the missions. VC can still clip through the rocks, but yes, wont effect mission flow like last time. I had quite the time messing with the helo yesterday. Took me about 2 hours to get it to finally RTB as intended and once was enough for me at that point. I’ll give it a second look soon.
